This particular run has been updated in the expansion called WotLK. It’s now open for groups of 10 or 25 gamers. This raid has the same enemies and boss as before, but they’re now stronger and have new game features.

Fast Onyxia’s Lair Raid Boost in WotLK
Gamers from both the race called Alliance and the one called Horde need to complete a special series of quests to enter the raid. The quests are different for each group, but they both end with you getting the amulet called Drakefire, which you need to go into the run (raid). You must keep the amulet in your bag for future runs (raids), but you don’t have to wear it. It does give some good bonuses, though.
- For players with a Horde character, go to Kargath in the location called Badlands and find the NPC called Warlord Goretooth at the top of the tower (5.8, 47.5 cords). Talk to him until he gives you the quest called Warlord’s Command. Then, just follow the quest line until you get your required amulet.
- For players with an Alliance character, go to Morgan’s Vigil in the lands of Burning Steppes and meet with an NPC called Helendis Riverhorn (85.8, 68.9 cords). You’ll start with the quest called Dragonkin Menace and then keep going until you receive the required amulet.
Does Onyxia still give a mount as a drop?
In the original version of the game (Classic), Onyxia didn’t drop any mounts. However, in the third phase of this great expansion, you can now win the mount called Reins of the Onyxian Drake by defeating the deadly boss from the run!
You don’t have to hurry to get it because it will always be a possible drop from Onyxia. But, it may take a lot of time because the chance of it dropping is very low.
