LoL Duo Rank Calculator 2025
League of Legends Solo/Duo queue uses rank limits to control who can play together. These limits are different across Iron, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Emerald, Diamond, Master, Grandmaster, and Challenger.
Instead of checking each rank by hand, choose your rank in the calculator above. The result shows the ranks that can duo with you under the 2025 Solo/Duo rules shown by this tool.
How to Check Duo Eligibility
- Select your current League of Legends rank.
- Review the ranks shown in the result area.
- Share or copy the list if your friend needs to check it.
The result is based on your selected rank. If no duo ranks are shown, the selected rank is limited to solo queue under the rules used by the calculator.
League of Legends Solo/Duo Rank Rules
Iron, Bronze, and Silver duo ranks
Iron, Bronze, and Silver players can generally duo with partners up to two tiers above their own rank. The exact allowed divisions can still depend on the selected rank, so use the calculator for the specific result.
Gold and Platinum duo ranks
Gold and Platinum have a narrower rank range. Players normally need to stay within one tier above or below the selected rank for Solo/Duo queue.
Emerald and Diamond duo ranks
Emerald and Diamond use tighter division-based limits. Some nearby ranks can play together, but the allowed range is not the same for every division. Select the exact rank to see the available partners.
Master, Grandmaster, and Challenger rules
High-ranked players face the strictest Solo/Duo restrictions. Master has a limited duo range, while Grandmaster and Challenger are treated as solo-only in the rules used by this calculator.
Solo/Duo Queue Versus Flex Queue
This calculator focuses on Solo/Duo queue. Flex queue follows different group rules, so a duo result here should not be treated as a Flex queue result.
- Solo/Duo uses rank limits that become stricter at higher tiers.
- Flex queue can allow wider rank differences at lower tiers.
- At the highest Flex ranks, every member may need to meet a minimum rank requirement.
If you cannot queue together in Solo/Duo, check whether Flex queue fits your group. Its rules can be more suitable for friends with a wider rank gap.
What the LoL Duo Rank Calculator Shows
- Your selected League of Legends rank.
- The ranks allowed as duo partners.
- Rank icons and labels for easier checking.
- A copy option for sharing the result.
The visual rank ladder makes it easier to spot nearby allowed ranks and understand where the queue restriction begins.
Important Rule Limitations
Ranked queue rules can change with updates, seasons, or Riot Games policy changes. This page is focused on the 2025 rules represented by the calculator. If the in-game queue gives a different result, follow the current client rule and check for an updated version of the calculator.
Your visible rank is not the only practical issue. The selected queue, rank division, and high-tier restrictions can all affect whether an invitation works.
LoL Duo Rank Calculator FAQ
Can I use this calculator for Flex queue?
No. It is designed for League of Legends Solo/Duo queue. Flex queue uses separate rules, so its allowed rank combinations may be different.
Why can I not duo with my friend?
The rank gap may be outside the allowed Solo/Duo range. Select your exact rank in the calculator to see which partner ranks are available.
Does the division within a tier matter?
Yes. Division limits can matter, especially around Emerald, Diamond, and other higher ranks. Use the full rank shown in the selector instead of checking only the tier name.
Are Grandmaster and Challenger solo-only?
Under the 2025 rules represented here, Grandmaster and Challenger do not have duo options in Solo/Duo queue.
Can the duo rules change?
Yes. Riot Games may adjust ranked queue rules. The calculator reflects the rule set stated for this 2025 page, while the current game client remains the final check.
Check Your Ranks Before Queueing
Select your rank above and compare the result with your friend’s rank before starting a Solo/Duo session. A quick check can prevent an invitation failure and show when Flex queue may be the better option.
