Best WoW War Within Solo Gold Farm Guide

Hello. Librarian Husky is here. This guide details a steady gold farm that allows you to make over 40,000 gold per hour completely solo. It is a great opportunity to make some nice gold from something a bit different, especially if you are looking for a new farm.

Farmed Materials and Requirements

The items you will be farming are Dark Iron Ore, so you must have the Classic Mining profession. You will also be getting Blood of the Mountain, which is a material that sells for a lot of gold. These materials sell very quickly on the region-wide auction house.

• Profession Required: Classic Mining
• Primary Farmed Items: Dark Iron Ore & Blood of the Mountain
• Key Mobs: Molten Destroyers (for Blood of the Mountain)
• Location: Molten Core raid instance

Location and Method

The farm is located inside Molten Core, the old raid. You will run through the instance but will not kill any of the bosses. The goal is to mine all of the ore and kill only the Molten Destroyers, as they are the mobs that drop the Blood of the Mountain.

Estimated Gold Per Hour

On average, each run will yield one Blood of the Mountain. With these selling for about 2,000 gold each, you can make around 30,000 gold per hour from them alone. On top of that, the Dark Iron Ore should provide another 10,000 gold.

Farming Strategy and Lockouts

Because you are not killing any bosses, you can do 10 runs per hour before hitting the instance lockout. You can continuously farm this by doing 10 runs on a character, then logging over to another character on a different realm to do another 10 runs while the first lockout timer resets.

Tips for Optimization

To maximize this farm, it is preferable to use a character that has a speed set. A Druid is the best choice because you can use stealth to get around the ore nodes without aggroing any bosses. Killing a boss will lock the raid for the week.

• DO use a speed set or a Druid for maximum efficiency.
• DO kill every Molten Destroyer you see.
• DO NOT kill any bosses under any circumstances.
• DO NOT exceed 10 runs in one hour on a single character to avoid instance lockout.

The Route and Reset Process

A short, efficient run involves farming until you reach a specific group of bosses near the end of the common path. At that point, simply teleport out, reset the Molten Core instance, and fly back to the entrance to rinse and repeat the process.

• Step 1: Enter Molten Core.
• Step 2: Mine ore and kill Molten Destroyers along the main path.
• Step 3: Stop before the boss pack near the end of the route.
• Step 4: Teleport out of the instance.
• Step 5: Right-click your player portrait and select “Reset all instances.”
• Step 6: Return to the entrance and repeat.
