Hey, what is up guys? It’s your boy Librarian Husky. We’re back. We’re at it. 7.39C meta analysis. In today’s guide, we’re going to be breaking down, you know, what’s good, what’s bad, what you should be looking out for. And at the end of this, I’m also going to look at the pick rates, kind of show you guys what people are picking, what people are picking less now. And, um, yeah, I’m excited to kind of just break this down.

Staring with 7.39C meta

I unfortunately missed the patch analysis. I was at PGL Wallet Chia. Maybe some of you guys saw that. I got a lot of support, by the way. I just want to quickly say a lot of support um, at that tournament. You know, a lot of people saying they’re having fun watching Wildcard. There was a Reddit thread made about me, like an appreciation post, which was like insane.

Um, honestly, I’m not going to cap, guys. It’s like I mean, I would say a couple things about I even considered making a full guide about this, but I just want to cover it quickly. Couple things. Number one, I’m very appreciative of like all the support. It’s like insane. This Reddit thread, the amount of like messages I’m getting. I mean, this is like the most support I’ve gotten in my life.

Insights and Analysis

The 7.39C meta analysis provides valuable insights into the current trends in the Dota 2 scene. With a detailed breakdown of what’s popular and what’s not, viewers get a comprehensive overview of the gameplay dynamics. The analysis extends to pick rates, shedding light on evolving player preferences and strategies.

Okay, so the first hero I want to talk about very quickly is Venge. You guys know if you’ve been following the channel that I am a huge Venge fan, especially in pubs. There’s also a pro strat right now with Magnus Vvenge if you want to try it out. I think it’s really cool. So, you know, give it a shot. But basically, Venge is technically a melee hero. So, if you empower her with Magnus, she cleaves.

It’s really weird, but it actually allows Venge to farm when typically this hero farms really slow. So, super cool combo. It’s typically played with Magnus support as it’s also a good lane. Offlane Venge with Mag 4 or Mag 5 with carry Venge is like totally viable as well. So, can give that a shot. But yeah, she got nerfed pretty hard this patch. However, she was a 56% win rate hero until this patch. The highest.

Hero Updates and Analysis

She is still the highest, even dropping a significant almost 2% win rate. So yeah, still if you’re looking for a very solid hero that’s just easy to play, you happen to get off lane or you’re an offlane player and you want to have high impact, Vengeance is just a really nice hero.

Solid spells, easy to execute, scales well because of the AS, great talents. Um so yeah, don’t shy away from Venge just because she got nerfed this patch. She did lose a very significant 10 attack speed um and something else, but yeah, solid hero. Definitely wouldn’t shy away from her at all.

Next up, Bristle is officially or officially smacked. So, Bristleback has been giga popular for a while now at the highest level. I mean, mega mega popular, but he’s been getting nerfed and nerfed and nerfed. Now, officially, I think this hero is almost bad.

I think it’s getting into that territory. I will admit, I think it’s actually still going to pop up in the pro scene. And the reason for that is I still think it’s good enough at taking objectives, uh, primarily Tormentor and Roshan, right? This hero just enables these objectives. However, let’s be real, guys. In your average pubs, these objectives tend not to die for way past the time in which they should.

In fact, if you want to gain MMR, frequently you have to be able to find these opportunities with your team. It’s something people get mad because it’s like, oh, my teammates don’t listen to that stuff. It’s kind of just being able to be like, okay, three people are top and we can all take it. Like, that’s good enough. You know, stuff like that is like a good way to gain rank. But in general, Bristol is like one of the best heroes at doing that. Uh, and so I think in the pro scene you’ll still see him occasionally for that reason. But for pubs, I just don’t recommend him. I think his numbers are just a bit too bad right now. So if you’re going to play him, it’s probably actually more like a seeing red build. Uh, honestly.

The next hero I want to talk about is DP. DP is first phase pick ban in the pro scene and still might continue to be that way even after getting heavy heavy nerfs. And I mean heavy nerfs.

Choosing the Right Heroes

Uh, just because of the fact that number one, she’s flexible. She can be played in multiple roles. And number two, the hero can take objectives, similar to bristleback, right? It’s very good at fighting around objectives. Even if, let’s say, you’re not you’re not going to probably pop Exo to take a a Tormentor. You’re going to pop XO to win a wisdom rune, to win a power rune, to to fight Ro, stuff like that. And pros are really, really good at that.

Now, the reason why I’m telling you this is so you don’t get baited to pick DP. I’m being real. DP is a hero I recommended for a while cuz I actually thought it was overtuned, and it probably was, and pros probably undervalued the hero for a while.

However, I don’t Think it’s a great pup hero. It actually is hard. It’s hard to scale, which is huge for me. You guys know that it’s Pretty hard to scale in a lot of games. Not impossible, but it’s hard. The ax, which is the best item on this hero, got heavy nerfed that doesn’t slow anymore.

And um really the biggest issue with DP is the cooldown. People will expect you to fight and when you don’t have exo, you’re just a lot weaker. And if you’re on a coordinated team, that’s much less of a problem. You just communicate that it’s on cooldown and you try to avoid major fights. But that doesn’t happen in pubs. And so I would be very careful about playing um DP for this reason. It’s just it’s just tough.

Okay, next up is Axe. Super recommend Axe. Slightly nerfed this patch. Pretty whatever. Give him a shot. Pause five or pause three. Think this hero is absolutely excellent.

Hero Analysis

It got buffed in a lot of ways. It’s a very consistent Dota. Strong laner. Takes stacks, farms well, scales well, just one of those heroes where for me I see an axe on my team and I’m like this guy’s probably gonna have a solid lane. He’s gonna stun people, you know, it’s that’s nice. And yeah, definitely play axe support either support role. Um but primarily off.

Next up is NP5. NP5 uh has got nerfed a few times now. So funny enough, I thought in this article I’d be saying that it’s like don’t pick it, but honestly, you should probably play it. Like it’s one of those fives that I think is really fun.

So, it’s just like enjoyable and you know, it’s good to enjoy Dota, believe it or not. You can do that. Vessel is an incredible item and I think really that’s what what’s carrying the hero. Funny enough, its win rate is at slightly below 50, so it’s not like some broken hero. I’m not telling you that it’s broken. It’s just an average support, but it’s really fun and I recommend trying it. Vessel is a great item.

The shard got nerfed this patch, but I still think it’s good. It scales quite well just because it gets a lot of farm as the game progresses and it’s pretty easy to play because you’re maxing sprout and you’re maxing teleport. So, yeah, pretty fun. Oh, also you’re doubling people’s tangos if they eat your sprout, you and your ally, and you should do that in the lane. So, definitely give it a shot if you haven’t played it. It’s a lot of fun.

Okay, next up, Wind’s new 10 talent is apparently really good. Honestly, this is pretty boring. This patch wasn’t like the most insane. One of the more interesting things to say in this patch is that Wind’s 10 talent is good. She has the highest win rate increase because she got plus4 all stats for her 10 talent. Her other 10 talents were terrible and frequently were just skipped.

Doom and PA Analysis

Now, she gets all stats and she’s universal. Not going to lie, I can’t imagine this is really worth her 2.3% win rate increase. Maybe some of it’s just coincidence, but nonetheless, apparently it’s really good.

All right, next up, Doom is a funny guy. Doom’s a funny guy. Doom is, you wouldn’t have guessed this, is the lowest win rate hero in Dota. The lowest. Right next to him is the horrendous PA, which you know, you guys know I generally hate PA. There was a patch where PA was good recently, you know, with like Warlock and Shakiro and stuff like that, and you know, her numbers were good, but then she got hit.

Um, but Doom’s a funny guy because you’ll still see Doom at the highest level, like pretty frequently. I really believe that. I don’t think this hero is going anywhere, but he’s the lowest and he’s kind of has this problem. It’s the same thing as Bat Rider, which I’m actually going to cover. He just has this issue where you got to minmax a lot of little things. And if you minmax a lot of little things, and another thing is the DP issue, but if you minmax a lot of the little things and you don’t fight when Doom is off cool down or you avoid it as much as possible in the early game, this hero can be nasty. It scales insanely well, right? But if you don’t understand the intricacies of this hero, it’s hard. It’s just hard. It doesn’t farm very quickly.

If you use Scorcher Earth to farm, you might not have it to fight. It’s not exactly inherently tanky. The laning stage is strong but weird, and you have some very bad matchups like heroes like Drow in the lane can be really hard. So yeah, it’s a weird one. He just has this issue where he’s super good in the pro scene conceptually and as a result he gets nerfed very hard, and so I would stay away from Doom.

Kind of on the same note, we’ll just cover bad now. Just don’t play bad. You’re going to see this hero a lot at the highest level. It just got nerfed this patch as well. Lost some HP regen which you know sucks.

Hero Selection Tips

Don’t play Bat. Bat’s one of my favorite heroes to play right now, and I Think it’s one of the best fives at the top level, but just being real, it’s hard to scale. It’s another one of those heroes where you have to minmax the small things; otherwise, it’s just bad. Bat Rider is a fantastic option if you’re willing to put in the time and effort. It’s like a very high ceiling hero that rewards skillful play. Think of Bat Rider as a safe investment in your hero pool; it’s a solid choice that tends to perform well if you know what you’re doing. On the other hand, if you prefer a more straightforward approach, consider playing heroes like Venge or NP5 instead of delving into the complexities of Bat Rider.

Understanding Pick Rates

Moving on, let’s discuss the pick rates and some notable trends. Quap has seen a 3.5% increase, which is quite significant. This hero offers versatility, being viable in both the carry and mid roles. The core build typically includes items like Blade Mail, with slight variations based on the situation. Consider experimenting with Quap in your matches to capitalize on her strengths across different positions.

Analysis of Quap and Peele in the Current Meta

Sometimes you see like blade mail kaisange and for carry it’s more like blade mailer so you can hit neutrals. Um but yeah, it’s really really interesting. Her bondage facet basically makes her heal from enemy spell damage and that works with blade mail interestingly enough. So blade mail is basically mega broken on quap. It makes you this incredible front liner. You have a strength talent at level 10. Uh you’re a pretty good laner if you max dagger, who can be really obnoxious to certain heroes. Just completely zone them out. So yeah, Quap is super fun and she can 1v9 games. So I wouldn’t say she’s like hyper hyperbroken or something like that. Um if you know cuz she is actually mechanically very difficult. She has like heavy sustain issues. Like if you play her carry and you don’t have a bottle, you can have like heavy sustain issues. So it has some flaws, but really fun. I’m not surprised the pick rate is up 3.5%. Definitely a very enjoyable hero and I recommend giving it a shot. Super cool.

Next up is Peele. Uh, funny enough, he actually got buffed last patch, but it was based around primarily his AS. And his pick rate went up. He’s up 2% Because people are seeing that he’s buffed and a lot of people love PL, but his win rate is down, which says a couple of things to me. I would say the main thing that it says to me is that people don’t know the item build, right? Because I mean, the hero is not worse than it was last patch, right? But people are probably buying the wrong items. In fact, a shame. One of the things that I saw recently that was a shame is that Watson played peel and he just bought normal peel items. He bought diffusal manta heart. He didn’t buy axe, right? And it’s like, oh, if you’re playing PL this patch, shouldn’t you buy the axe?

Analysis of Hero Facet and Item Builds

It’s like the thing. I thought so, too. Maybe not. It’s cool. It summons illusions. Those illusions do damage with their lance because of this hero’s facet, which is really cool. So, there’s like a lot of cool things with the facet and the as. But honestly guys, I’ll keep you up to date with what I’m seeing on PL builds, but it generally seems like it’s not figured out yet. And if you want to play the hero, I’m sad to say this, but maybe you should just buy diffusal man to heart and play normal. Okay.

And lastly, I want to cover just these two heroes. Already mentioned it, but like this hero is just solid. Um the item build is kind of figured out and this, you know, it’s just vessel with no boots and Dard and you have a lot of impact. You place really good wards. It’s really easy to play. And then axe is down win rate. The hero got nerfed very slightly as you can see.

Not shocking that this is the change. Um but yeah, very slight nerf. Uh but yeah, super solid. I mean, super super super solid hero. This is his current win rate. So, um yeah, he’s he’s more picked and I expect this number to go up. I I think this hero will continue to be picked in the pro scene and should be in pubs as well. But all right, thank you guys so much for watching. Hopefully you enjoyed this meta analysis or meta update for 7.39 C and I’ll see you guys in the next one. Purse.
