What is Trade Lands RP

Trade Lands Roleplay, or TRLS RP, is a highly competitive and organized battle system between factions, overseen by Trade Lands moderators. These battles typically take place on Wednesdays at 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time and Saturdays at noon, featuring battles of up to 50 versus 50 players.

  • Player-driven: The players themselves shape the game lore and history;
  • Every battle and event in the official Trade Lands Discord contributes to the evolving story of factions;
  • Faction leaders, called Hicom, decide when to go to war to claim islands from other player or NPC factions.

RP rules evolve over time. Always check with your faction leadership or the official Trade Lands Wars spreadsheet before a battle for the latest information.

How Trade Lands RP Works

Each battle consists of two phases: a naval battle and an invasion. The outcome of the naval battle determines which island the losing side must defend.

The moderator centralizes the wind around a fixed point between the two factions, near the island where the invasion will take place. This circle dictates where the fight occurs. Each faction selects ships using command points based on the number of players.

  • In a 20v20 battle, each side gets roughly 200 command points for ships like an Alliance (72 points) or Falcon (66 points);
  • All ships have man requirements; your Hicom handles point systems and manning;
  • Your job as a beginner: man the cannons and sink enemy ships;
  • The naval battle ends when one faction’s fleet is completely destroyed.

Invasion Phase

The winner of the naval battle decides where the land invasion takes place. The attacking side can land from remaining ships or approach from the island. Each faction receives respawn tickets based on player count.

  • In a 20v20 battle, each faction gets 65 respawn tickets (65 lives);
  • One ticket is consumed every time you spawn or respawn;
  • The goal: eliminate all enemies by depleting their respawn tickets;
  • Winning both phases grants control of the island; winning only the naval battle still gives an advantage in future invasions by reducing the defender’s tickets.

How to Participate in RP Battles

All Trade Lands RP happens on the official Trade Lands Discord server. You must be part of an official group, either a Navy or a pirate crew. Joining a Navy—particularly White Crest or Nova Navy—offers the most RP opportunities.

  • Faction requirement: Be in a faction before the war starts (no last-minute switching);
  • RP eligibility: Attend at least one official event per week for two weeks prior to your first battle—exceptions exist for newer players, so ask your Hicom;
  • Upcoming battles: Listed in the RP channel on the official Discord; rally typically happens one hour before in Discord and the private server.

Arriving early increases your chances of being selected due to limited battle spots.

Preparing for Battle

Character Weight and Inventory

Feather Stones do not work in the war server. Put them in your warehouse before joining. Hard attack and other consumables like drinks and chocolate also do not work—store them and free up space.

  • Balance your character weight below 80 to avoid being slowed down;
  • Get an accurate idea of your character’s weight based on inventory before the battle.

Character Appearance and Scaling

Your Roblox character’s appearance matters in war. Remove all animation packs before joining; some can mess up hitboxes. Wear your faction’s official uniform—no custom uniforms allowed. Your character’s size (height, width, proportions) affects stamina and health.

  • Many factions have optimal scaling recommendations for maximum stamina and health;
  • Check with your faction for their specific guidelines.

Weapons and Loadouts

Only certain weapons and items are allowed. As a rule of thumb, only craftable items such as Round Shot, spy glasses, weapons, ships, etc. are permitted. No glowes, glowy cannons, or crate weapons are allowed.

  • Land battle loadout: Most players use cap lock ranged weapons for low bullet drop, minimal delay, and high damage;
  • Melee: Avoid heavy weapons like hand axes or long swords—they are slow and increase team damage risk in PVP-all zones;
  • Prepare a dedicated loadout for naval and land phases.

Joining and During the Battle

Once selected, you will be pulled into your faction’s command voice call and given a code. Type slw followed by the code in a private server to join. Do not use a public server—it will not work. If you have trouble, contact your officer or Hicom immediately.

Drop all weapons and carry as much Round Shot as possible (around 35). You can be slightly overweight since there is no boarding. During the naval section, you cannot respawn if your ship sinks—wait for Hicom instructions on boarding another ship.

  • Critical: If you get sniped by a cannon, never respawn on the ship; doing so will disqualify your faction;
  • After the naval battle ends, reset when told, requip your weapons, and prepare for the land battle;
  • Do not enter the battle zone or cube until Hicom tells you to.

Land Battle Tips

You cannot jump on houses, trees, or rocks. If you have to jump to get on something, do not use it. You can walk up staircases or rocks you can reach without jumping. Listen carefully to Hicom instructions; they know the best strategies. When you die, wait for your force field to go away, then head back into the cube to rejoin. Follow orders, stay alert, and have fun.

Final Tips and Reminders

Trade Lands RP can be as complex or simple as you like. Remember to arrive early, prepare your loadout in advance, and always follow Hicom instructions. PVP is always on in the war server, so be cautious not to hit your teammates. If the battle starts at 5 PM, it starts at 5 PM—do not be late. Good luck on the battlefield.
