How the LoL Duo Rank Calculator 2025 Works
Choose your rank from the calculator menu. The result will show the ranks that can queue with you under the listed 2025 Solo/Duo rules. You can also copy the allowed rank list and share it with your duo partner.
This is useful when you and a friend are unsure whether the rank gap is allowed. Checking first is faster than opening the queue and finding that the party cannot start.
Solo/Duo Queue Rank Restrictions
Solo/Duo Queue uses rank limits to keep matchmaking closer between both players. The allowed range depends on the tier and, for some higher ranks, the division.
Iron, Bronze, and Silver Duo Rules
Players in Iron, Bronze, and Silver can duo within the wider range shown by the calculator. The listed rules allow these players to play with partners up to two tiers above their own rank.
For example, an Iron player may be able to queue with a Bronze or Silver player. Select the exact rank in the calculator to see the full allowed list.
Gold and Platinum Duo Rules
Gold and Platinum use a narrower range. Players can generally duo with ranks one tier above or below their own tier, subject to the rank selected in the calculator.
This means a Gold player may be matched with a Silver, Gold, or Platinum partner under the listed rules.
Emerald and Diamond Duo Rules
Emerald and Diamond use division-based restrictions rather than only broad tier limits. The allowed partner must be within the permitted division range shown for the selected rank.
Because the result can change between divisions, choose the exact rank instead of relying only on the tier name.
Master, Grandmaster, and Challenger Rules
The highest ranks have the strictest Solo/Duo restrictions in the calculator. Master players can duo only with the listed eligible high-rank partners, including the specified Diamond I option.
Grandmaster and Challenger are shown as solo-only ranks in the supplied 2025 rule set. If the calculator returns no duo ranks, the selected rank cannot form a Solo/Duo party under these rules.
How to Use the Rank Compatibility Tool
- Open the rank selector.
- Choose your current rank.
- Review the allowed partner ranks.
- Use the copy button to share the result.
The visual rank ladder makes the result easier to scan. Allowed ranks are displayed separately from unavailable ranks, so you can quickly identify whether your planned duo is possible.
Solo/Duo and Flex Queue Differences
This calculator focuses on Solo/Duo Queue. Flex Queue follows different restrictions and is more flexible in the listed rule set.
- Below Diamond, Flex Queue is shown as having no rank restriction.
- For Master and above, all members must meet the listed Emerald-or-higher requirement.
Do not use the Solo/Duo result as a direct answer for Flex Queue. Choose the queue type first, then check the rules that apply to that queue.
Why a Duo Queue Check Can Fail
The most common issue is a rank gap that falls outside the allowed range. This can happen when two players are in nearby tiers but different divisions, especially around Emerald, Diamond, and the highest ranks.
Another common mistake is checking only the visible tier. The exact division may affect the result, so select the complete rank whenever the calculator provides that option.
LoL Duo Rank Calculator FAQ
Which ranks does the calculator cover?
It covers the listed Solo/Duo ranks from Iron through Challenger, including the divisions used for the higher-rank restrictions.
Does it check Flex Queue?
The main result is for Solo/Duo Queue. The page also explains the separate Flex Queue rules included in the 2025 reference set.
Why should I choose my exact division?
Emerald and Diamond restrictions depend on divisions. Selecting only a broad tier may not show the correct partner range.
What if no duo ranks appear?
No result means that the selected rank has no eligible Solo/Duo partner under the listed rules. This applies to the solo-only ranks and to any restricted selection with no valid match.
Check Before Starting Ranked
