Yo, what’s going on, guys? It’s Librarian Husky here. Welcome back to a brand new article. Inside today’s guide, we’re going to be exploring a complete cheat sheet for the new season in ranked.

Best Picks for the New Season in Ranked

We’ll delve into the best first pick, last picks, and over picks for every single game mode and map.

So, starting with the bounty dry season, here are the standout picks. I believe the significant changes in the meta are worth a brief overview. Jay Young has proven to be a versatile brawler since his release, excelling particularly early in the draft due to his lack of direct counters.

Key Picks in the Bounty Meta

Hank has emerged as a strong choice, especially when paired with a support brawler. Angelo remains consistently effective in the bounty meta. Kenji, with his hypercharge, stands out as a formidable option. While not ideal for early draft picks, a skilled Kenji player can leverage his hypercharge effectively.

Recent adjustments have also boosted the viability of brawlers like Ghost and Bow in the bounty meta, particularly with the hypercharge mechanics. When selecting late picks, consider options like Bonnie, Lily, and ensuring your team composition includes a mix of roles to cover various threats.

Tribe Tournament and Bounty Picks

For Bounty, we have Hideout here. Hideout is a different map where pure snipers may not always work out, especially in higher ranks where you can easily get countered. Max compositions can be annoying, pushing you back into your spawn on hideouts. Consider picks like Jon, Lumi, and Angelo for their versatility. Angelo can apply pressure with his pierce gadget, similar to Gus who can pressure with his HP pool. Opt for a semi-aggressive brawler like Gray, Leon, or Max, a wall-breaking sniper, and an in-between brawler to counter cheesy compositions.

Bounty Map Strategy

In terms of late picks, it’s not a major concern. Focus on securing strong early picks to gain an advantage. For the Bounty map “Layer Cake,” avoid relying too heavily on Snipers. Snipers struggle to apply pressure effectively, which is crucial for winning Bounty matches. Opt for brawlers like Hank who excel in creating pressure by controlling map space. Hybrid brawlers with decent range, such as Janet, Cole, and Kenji, are favorable picks. Additionally, consider versatile brawlers like Guju Larry and Lori to maintain a balanced team composition. Tanks and hybrid brawlers perform well on this map by forcing opponents back into their spawn, making kills easier to secure.

Ultimate Ranked Mode Guide – Top Brawlers and Ban Recommendations

Layer Cake Map Picks

When selecting brawlers for “Layer Cake,” prioritize those capable of applying pressure and controlling map territory. Choose brawlers like Hank who can dominate the map by hooking walls and pushing opponents back into their spawn. Hybrid brawlers with moderate range and wall peeking abilities, such as Janet and Cole, are effective choices. Avoid an excessive reliance on snipers, as they may struggle to exert pressure on this map. Aim for a balanced team composition with a mix of tanks and versatile brawlers to maintain map control and secure kills efficiently.

Shooting Star Map Selection

For the “Shooting Star” Bounty map, focus on selecting strong snipers to maximize your team’s potential. Late picks are less critical on this map, as skilled players can make unconventional brawlers like Melody and Fang work effectively. Prioritize snipers like Belle, Max, and Mandy, each offering unique strengths. Belle excels with her trap mechanics, while Max can counter multiple snipers effectively. Mandy’s hypercharge ability is formidable when aiming is precise, making her a solid choice for controlling the map’s center. Ensure a balanced team composition with a mix of mid brawlers and snipers for optimal performance on Shooting Star.

Best Brawler Picks in Various Maps

So shooting soldiers just go to best snipers. Okay, so now moving on to Bubble. Sign off with center stage. Best picks on your screen right here. So the biggest differences with bral is that Kenji is just unbelievably broken in bubble with the recent hypercharge. Of course he is. Chester is still really really good. Lumi etc. So again Carl is going to be really prevalent in the bral meta mainly on maps like this because his g he ejects a gadget still does a lot of damage and can just control the grass area. Grip as well probably is the biggest difference as well because grip’s hypercharge is insane. You do got to take into consideration with Griff if you do pick them early on like players are not going to pick tanks into griff right so it might be a little bit difficult to get your hypercharge but you’re still having a brawler about that that’s always good in the draft to prevent other players going those tanks you’ve also got Ollie who’s still pretty good Primo’s really really good in the bubble meta Lily’s very good in this meta maybe struggles a little bit more in the bushier map but the hype charge is still very good to had probably the biggest improvement out of these lane brawlers in the meta just because of how quickly she can charge per hypercharge. And then it’s just the same with center stage. In terms of late picks, I would really say there’s anything that you know, you can pick late pick and it’s guaranteed to win like in previous metas, but there’s a few good additions like Jackie and Mortis late pick, you know, Rico, etc. Uh, but there’s a lot of good options here.

Optimal Strategy for Pinball Dreams

Next, we got Pinball Dreams here. Best picks on your screen right here. So, as I always say with Pinball Dreams, it’s always about considering that whether your composition is good against those throws because if the especially if the opponent has last pick, that throw is just going to be able to just wreck the entire team. So you kind of need a bit of everything. You need a bit of HP, you need a bit of aggression, you maybe need a wall break. You might need an assassin to prevent them from going throws, etc. So I always try and take everything into consideration. So for example, if I do get my hands on B in the middle, then I’m not going to go another squishy brawler and I probably need something aggressive.

So if you know, if they go Sprout or like a Guju, then they can apply pressure away from OB. So in terms of against surprising picks here, you might think Jayong‘s a little bit surprising, but of course Jayong and BRL with constant speeds and constant healing is very very good. Hank of course really really good. Chest with a hypercharge. Thinks is also very good in pinball dreams because the thing about things is that he’s good against tanks if needed while he’s decent. And then if facing off against froze, he’s still okay because he’s got a faster movement speed. He’s got decent HP and he’s got the teleport gadget. So he’s good at just sustaining his life and applying pressure.

Analysis of Brawler Strategies in Different Maps

Lily has proven to be exceptionally strong in the current meta, surpassing previous tier list expectations. Brawlers with wall-breaking abilities, like throwers, hold significant value due to their strategic advantages. When forming your team composition, Consider incorporating a tank counter, a thrower/assassin, and possibly a hybrid for versatility.

Moving on to Sneaky Fields, the drafting dynamics resemble those of Center Stage, with slight variations. While brawlers such as busters excel on Center Stage, the same lineup can be effective on Sneaky Fields. The meta currently favors a select group of 10-15 brawlers across different game modes, offering a more balanced gameplay experience compared to previous metas.

In Sneaky Fields, prioritize brawlers with consistent performance and adaptability. Consider including at least one tank counter, potentially two tanks, and a mid-role brawler that can provide support or function as a tank counter. Maintaining a diverse composition is crucial to exerting pressure on opponents and controlling the map effectively.

Transitioning to Triple Dribble, a map akin to Pinball Dreams, caution is advised when selecting brawlers. While throwers can be effective, beware of early picks that may lead to unfavorable matchups against tanks and aggressive brawlers. The current meta leans towards tank-heavy compositions focused on high damage output and aggressive gameplay.

In Brawl Ball specifically, prioritize brawlers with hypercharges, as they offer significant advantages during gameplay. Brawlers like Kenji, Chester, Lou, and Lily possess hypercharges that can secure team wipes or goals efficiently. Utilizing hypercharges effectively can tilt the match in your favor, emphasizing the importance of strategic play and tactical decision-making.

Gem Grab Strategy

You get the common theme here in Bubble. Go hypercharges galore and you should be able to win. Now we’re going to be moving on to Gem Grab. Starting off with double swoosh. Best picks for gem grab on your screen right here. So the same brawlers as first picks here. We’ve got Jay Young who’s just such a versatile brawler as a mid or even as a lane potentially.

You’ve got Kenji, Kenji is Kenji. Lily is insane in gem grab. By the way, her hypercharge is lowkey busted. The main reason why it’s so busted and why it underrated it is because of how fast that thing goes. I didn’t realize the speed boost on the super. You can basically auto across the map and you just hit them and kill them instantly. That’s why she’s really good in gem grab. You can just constantly go after the gem carrier with the constant invisibilities etc. of the shadow realms.

You’ve also got Janet who is probably the best gem grabber ruler. I know she’s not like number one here because there’s other broken brawlers, but you always get the chance to go Janet. You can play as a mid, you can play as a lane. Insane with a hive charge. Chester as well, insane. Amber with her hive charge always good on double swoosh to break open the grass.

Gray is becoming a very strong mid in gem grab again because what you do with gray, make sure you put your teleport into a good position and is always going to be a threatening when you’ve got like a tank that can constantly go in on a gem carrier. And then your hypercharge as well. You could basically get a hypercharge into the middle, but two supers back to back and that brawler about respawns. Still has that invis invincibility bubble and they can just cause so much pressure onto the gem carrier.

So your typical lane brawlers as well that people forget about like pearl very very good on this map once you follow heated up. Otus as well very very underrated but typically you have a mid that’s a good gem carrier plus good at scouting. Then you have one of your lanes that can apply pressure. So like a tank down the right hand side and then a tank counter down the left.

Gem Four Brawler Selection

Now moving on to gem four here. Your best picks right here. So with gem four, I think the big difference here is that I always like at least one brawler that’s just really good at keeping presence in the mid in terms of your lane. So that’s why I really like Hank cuz he can just sit in the middle. Kenji, he can sit in the middle. Chester, you know, he’s got really good burst damage. So you got to have good burst damage or a lot of HP. So that’s why Jackie is becoming very strong in Gem Fort because again, she can just sit in the middle, get pressure, Ollie boost. So make sure you’ve got one of those brawlers in my opinion and then you want a solid mid brawler. So the best mid brawler you’ve got Johnny is a really good mid to be honest here.

Then you’ve got the likes of B really good at shutting down certain compositions. Max Bus and then making sure that you’ve got one of the better tanks. So or assassins. So whether that’s Hank, Kenji, whether that’s Lily with a recent hypercharge, whether that’s Cole is kind of like a hybrid with some decent range, Ollie, etc. Then you want a good tank counter. So Taurus is becoming one of the best roles to jump for for sure. But do be careful of Amber and Janibo, the biggest counters, but outside of that, she’s very, very strong. You have like Fin, you got Griff to open up the map. You got Lu. So you want a bit of everything here, but do be careful of those tanks in the middle.

Hard Rock Mine Brawler Choices

Now, moving on to hard rock mine here. Your best picks on your screen right here. So, for people that play below Masters, I think Rico probably still is the best first pick, but as you get towards Masters and above, Rico isn’t the best except for later on in the draft, mainly because people have just know how to counter him now and there’s just too many brawlers that can pressure Rico all the way back into spawn. So brawlers like Janet for example can just easily walk all over Lar Rico. Hank as well could easily pressure Rico Kenji all these meta brawlers destroy Rico in one versus one. Even Lily as well even with Rico’s multiple launch gadget. Lily can just annihilate Rico before he’s even blinked. And then in terms of M on this map in particular again you want a mid brother that’s at least decent into aggressive options. So that’s why I really like Max because can support your aggressive options but also be pretty good defensively with the gadget.

Choosing the Right Brawlers for Mid Control

You’ve got bow as well some good damage in the mid gust as well the recent hypercharge even better as a mid brawler and a bit as well. So really solid mid option. So then you want that one brawler that’s going to be aggressive and get into the opponent’s spawn. So whether that’s again a high HP brawler, whether that’s a car, whether that’s a buster, whether that’s an ash, you need one of these. You can’t have two control prawers because again in gem grab, you just want at least you want to get as much pressure as possible, right? In an ideal situation, you want two people in the enemy spawn locking down all angles so they’re completely spawn trapped. But you just want at least one person applying the pressure because if you’re not applying the pressure and you’re constantly getting backed into spawn, you’re just going

Continued in the next paragraph: to have a really hard time because again, the enemy team is just going to be constantly healing up, they’re going to be able to build up their supers. They’re going to be able to really take control of the map and just keep you trapped in spawn. So you really want to make sure you have a good balance of both control brawlers and aggressive brawlers. And I think that’s probably the most important thing when it comes to gem grab really understanding what brawlers are going to be aggressive and which brawlers are going to be control based. And I think that’s probably the most important thing when it comes to gem grab really understanding what brawlers are going to be aggressive and which brawlers are going to be control based.
