Let’s dive into the Patch 14.24 tier list and see which champions are rising to the top!
Understanding ELO Dynamics
Do you remember when knowing how to set up a freeze in low ELO made you feel special? These days, if you don’t know what a freeze is, you’re considered a troll. The problem is that challengers are often out of touch with the fact that everyone in low ELO is improving. If you ask for help, you might just receive outdated advice or tips that only apply to high ELO situations, such as syncing wave crashes with teammates to set up invades or objective priority.
Adapting Strategies for Success
The theoretically correct play is usually not what actually works in your own ELO. Oftentimes, it’s something that may seem out of the ordinary, like split pushing as an ADC, that will give you much more agency in the game. We teach you the correct way to play League like everyone else does, but also the adaptations that truly work in your ELO, ensuring you always have multiple great ideas for winning games.
Top Lane Changes
To start, we will discuss all the top lane changes, as there are no item or rune adjustments to consider for this patch. Rumble is first up, as he will be receiving a buff to his Q AP ratio, increasing from 100% to 110%. The W AP ratio has also been buffed, going from 25% to 30%. However, these changes do not significantly enhance Rumble‘s lane bully potential, nor do they provide substantial buffs for his mid to late game. Therefore, we do not expect Rumble to make a significant impact on the meta due to these adjustments, and he will remain in the top lane C tier.
Ambessa Nerfs
Ambessa is going to be heavily nerfed in patch 14.24, with her W and E abilities being targeted. The shield duration of W will drop from 2 seconds to 1.5 seconds, and the shield amount will decrease significantly, going from 85 to 50 at rank one. Additionally, the bonus AD scaling on the W shield will be reduced from 175% to 150%. The E bonus AD ratio will also take a hit, changing from 40 scaling to 80% to 40 scaling to 60%. The W nerfs are particularly impactful, as losing 35 shielding early on will make Ambessa’s early laning considerably more challenging. As a result, we expect Ambessa’s priority to decrease this patch, moving her down the tier list from OP to A tier.
Mundo Adjustments
Mundo receives a scaling nerf, with his E max health to bonus AD conversion decreasing from a scale of 2-3% max health to a scale of 2-2.8% max health. While this adjustment is noticeable, it is not significant enough to push Mundo further down the tier list. Therefore, he will remain placed in A tier.

Riven’s Performance and Nerfs
Riven has been excelling in the higher ELOs over the past patch, so she’s getting nerfed for 14.24, with her E base shield dropping by 10 at all ranks. It is always a bit more difficult for us to rate Riven on the tier list because of how much better she is for high ELO compared to low ELO. You need to be able to play Riven very well in order to make her more worthwhile than easier top lane picks; someone like Maai right now is just super simple to execute and very powerful at the same time.
Riven vs. Other Champions
There’s no reason to prioritize Riven over Maai unless you are a very skilled Riven player. Since we skew our tier lists more based on what’s best for Diamond and below, Riven has been in the A tier; however, if this were a list for high ELO where players can maximize her potential, she’d definitely be in S tier. With this nerf, we do not expect her to lose enough strength to warrant a push down the tier list; therefore, we will be leaving Riven in the A tier.
Top Lane Tier List Overview
If we look at the top lane tier list, the OP tier will look the same as last patch, minus Ambessa. Maai and Malite are incredibly powerful, and if those are the only two lane champions you play right now, you set yourself up really well. Tanks are honestly just very effective for solo queue, as Tom Kench and Cho’Gath are two others who have been excelling lately. Besides Cante, we do not have a single tank rated lower than A tier on the tier list right now, which is not something we see often.
The Strengths and Weaknesses of Tanks
The thing about tanks like Tom and Cho’ is that they deal significant damage while being incredibly difficult to take down and relatively easy to play. There is little reason to choose a riskier fighter when there is less margin for error.
Changes to Master Yi
We have an interesting buff to Master Yi that could shake up his priority builds; the Q crit strike bonus is increasing from 35% to 56.25%. Crit builds have been out of the meta for Yi for quite some time, so we will have to see if this buff is enough to change that. Currently, there is no solid data for crit builds on Yi in patch 14.23, making it tough to determine his strength with crit builds until the changes go live in 14.24.
Elise’s Early Game Nerf
For now, we do not expect this buff to result in a significant power spike, so Yi will remain in the jungle A tier. Elise will lose some early game power in this patch, as her base health drops from 650/50 to 620. We anticipate around a 1% drop in her win rate due to this nerf, prompting her move from S tier to A tier.
Nerfs to Graves
The recent nerfs to Ghostblade and The Collector were insufficient to push Graves out of the jungle OP tier; thus, he is receiving direct nerfs in this patch. The Q explosion bonus AD ratio will be reduced from 40 scaling to 160% to 40 scaling to 140%. This change is not catastrophic for Graves, so he will only drop from OP to S tier.
Champion Nerfs and Buffs Overview
This next nerf affects Talon more in mid than in the jungle; his magic resist is being lowered from 39 to 36. It is always challenging to predict how these damage nerfs will play out, so for now, we will keep Talon in the jungle S tier. However, there is a possibility that the nerf could be harsher than expected, which might lead us to drop him into A tier.
Warwick Adjustments
For the mid patch update, Warwick will receive a few adjustments as his base AD is being lowered from 65 to 63. However, his W ability is getting buffed, with the attack speed duration increased from 1 to 2.5 seconds. Additionally, the Q range is increasing from 350 to 365. While the base AD nerf likely outweighs the W and Q buffs slightly, we do not anticipate Warwick losing significant strength due to these changes. Consequently, we will keep Warwick in the jungle S tier.
Jungle Tier List Update
Examining the jungle tier list, top-tier picks from the last patch will remain largely unchanged in 14.24, with Nocturne and Wukong in the OP tier. The jungle meta for solo queue is currently in a good place, offering a plethora of A tier or above junglers to choose from. Earlier in the season, there was a well-defined meta dominated by Leandre’s junglers; however, at present, there is a healthy mix of options available.
LeBlanc Nerf
LeBlanc is receiving a nerf this patch, which seems somewhat unusual considering her performance across various ELO brackets has not been exceptional. The focus of the nerf is on her early game, as LeBlanc will lose five base damage on her Q ability.
LeBlanc Nerf Impact
If LeBlanc wasn’t so reliant on snowballing, then this nerf wouldn’t mean as much; however, any kind of nerf that affects her early game kill threat is a more significant blow to her than it would be for most champions. LeBlanc has been barely holding on to her A tier slot in recent patches, so with this nerf, we’ll be dropping her down to B tier.
Victor Visual Update and Buffs
The big talking point of patch 14.24 is the Victor visual update. Not only will Victor be receiving new visuals, but he is also getting buffed in a few different ways and should become one of the best midlaners moving forward. Passive stacks are being modified so that players will now gain more stacks for killing cannon minions, but fewer for securing a champion takedown.
Changes to Victor’s Abilities
The Q shield is increasing from 25 to 40 early on, which will help improve Victor’s weaker early game. Additionally, the mana cost of E is being lowered from 70 to 60; these changes aim to boost Victor’s laning strength. The W ability is also being adjusted so that the stun is more consistent, now occurring after exactly 1.25 seconds instead of between 1.1 and 2 seconds.
Significant R Ability Changes
The R ability is undergoing substantial changes: whenever Victor gets a takedown, his R will increase in size by 40%, and its duration will be extended by 3 seconds. This can stack up to six times, meaning that Victor’s R can become absolutely massive in size. Consequently, the extended fight potential for Victor increases significantly due to this buff in the next patch.
Conclusion on Victor’s Tier Position
Unless we are missing something, Victor is being buffed in multiple different ways, and he should return to a top-tier spot for patch 14.
Mid Lane Tier List Updates
For now, we’ll be moving Viktor into the mid lane S tier, and we’ll adjust if needed for the mid patch update. So for the mid lane tier list, we’ve already covered Viktor and LeBlanc’s movements; however, three other champions being adjusted include Corki, Swain, and Ambessa.
Corki’s Decline in Mid Lane
Corki is going to be one of the worst mids now because, unfortunately for those who like to play Corki mid, he’s just way better in the bot lane right now. He is getting nerfed due to his bot lane power, which means mid lane becomes even weaker, even though it was already quite bad last patch.
Swain’s Armor Nerf
Swain is dropping down from S tier to A tier because he’s losing some armor in this patch. The armor scaling nerf will be more detrimental to mid lane Swain since he can achieve levels easier than support, even though Ambessa is much more popular as a top laner.
Ambessa’s Impact
Ambessa has been finding significant success in the mid lane; however, the nerfs will hurt her in both roles, prompting us to drop her into the A tier for mid as well.
Corki’s Nerf in Patch 14.24
Corki has arguably been the best solo queue ADC over the past patch; however, he will be nerfed in 14.24. His E base damage is being lowered by 20 at all ranks, and the bonus AD ratio on E is also reduced from 250% to 240%. This nerf shouldn’t spell the end for Corki in the meta, but he won’t maintain his OP tier position any longer, as we are dropping him into S tier.
ADC Balance in Season 14
To conclude the tier list for the bot lane in season 14, this is honestly the most balanced we have seen the role in terms of there not being a significant gap between different ADCs’ power levels. There isn’t a true OP ADC for 14.24; however, three of the best right now leading the way are Kog’Maw, Sivir, and Miss Fortune. MF and Sivir are both quite underrated at the moment because they have been positively influenced by recent changes, while many other ADCs have fallen in power: Caitlyn, Kai’Sa, Corki, Ashe, and Jhin have all been negatively impacted by recent patches, paving the way for Sivir and Miss Fortune to climb in relative power in low ELO.
Success of Sivir and Miss Fortune
Sivir and MF are experiencing incredible success; even in higher ranks, they are maintaining much higher win rates than more popular picks like Corki, Caitlyn, Ashe, Jhin, and Jinx. If you really want to achieve some cheesy ELO in 14.24 to reach that next rank during your end-of-season climb, consider abusing bot lane mages! Patch after patch, mages continue to hold higher win rates in the bot lane than traditional ADCs; Lux has an impressive 54% win rate in this patch.

Champion Changes in Patch 14.24
The recent adjustments in Patch 14.24 have significantly impacted the champion tier list, particularly for support champions. Rell, once considered a low-tier support, has received various buffs aimed at improving her viability in the bot lane. Riot Games has increased her base health from 610 to 640 and enhanced her W shield by 10 at all ranks, boosting her early-game durability. Additionally, the scaling of her W shield max health has improved from 12% to 13%, and her passive resist steal has been buffed from 2% to 3%. These changes suggest that Rell will no longer be the worst support in the game, and we anticipate her moving up to A tier.
Yuumi’s Adjustments
Yuumi is also on the buff list this patch, with her Q mana cost being reduced from a scaling range of 50 to 100 down to 50 to 75. Furthermore, her Q damage has increased from a scaling range of 60 to 210 to 60 to 235. Although these changes may not significantly benefit her during the early levels of laning, they provide stronger incentives once Yuumi reaches level nine and fully maxes her Q. However, despite these improvements, we do not foresee Yuumi becoming a dominant pick in solo queue, and she will remain in B tier.
Swain’s Nerfs
Conversely, Swain is set to receive several armor nerfs. His base armor will drop by one, and his armor per level will decrease from 5.2 to 4.7. Currently, Swain is already struggling as a support champion, and these nerfs will only further solidify his low-tier status. As a result, he will continue to be placed in B tier for this patch.
Poppy Nerfs and Meta Impact
Yet another round of nerfs for Poppy is on the way. If we remember correctly, this will be the third patch of nerfs aimed at addressing her power in the support role. This time, Riot has planned some armor nerfs, as both base armor and armor scaling are being reduced. Additionally, Q damage is decreasing in the early game from 40 to 30, although it has been buffed at max rank, increasing from 120 to 130. The Q bonus AD ratio is also rising from 90% to 100%.
Evaluating the Significance of Nerfs
To be quite frank, we struggle to see how these nerfs are substantial enough to remove Poppy from the meta. While it is likely she will lose her OP tier standing, there is no way these adjustments will drop her lower than A tier for now. We believe that Poppy will still remain in S tier, as she continues to be a strong solo queue support despite these changes.
Support Tier List for Season 14
This is how we have lined up the support tier list for the final patch of season 14: the OP tier will now be dominated by Lulu, Vel’Koz, and Tom Kench, with Poppy dropping out of the OP tier. Tom is next in line for a bump up, as he has been performing exceptionally well in the role over recent patches. Without question, Tom is the best melee support for solo queue, with Poppy being the only champion that came close to contesting that statement in recent patches.
Tom Kench’s Rise as a Support
The key factor is that even though Tom is a support, he builds exactly as he would if he were a solo laner. With the completion of Heartsteel, he gains impressive skirmishing strength. Heartsteel combined with taking Grasp as your Keystone Rune enhances Tom’s solo carry potential, and he has been thriving as a result.
