Hello, guys, Librarian Husky here, today we’re going over the latest updates in champions!

Latest Updates on Champion Trends and Tier List

Senna has now become the most OP ADC in the game. Samira has a new build path due to her buffs. And Civer is, without question, the most underrated champ for 25.11. So, we’ll be breaking all this down and much more as we provide you guys with an update on all the new trends and the solo Q tier list for every single role.

And let’s be honest, picking the best champions is fun, but is that really enough on its own? I don’t know about you, but locking in Senna just because she’s OP tier doesn’t really help if you’re lacking sufficient knowledge as an ADC. However, you can begin stomping your way out of low elo when using our brand new bronze to diamond course that goes hard in teaching you everything you need to know to succeed as an ADC, which will have you speedrunning any game below diamond using the tactics our multi-role challenger player Hector has used to climb to the apex of the ranked ladder. And that’s just for ADC.

Your mid-lane OP tier Diana pick becomes actually unstoppable when you know all the essentials of mid-lane thanks to the new six-part mid-lane series over on our platform that our top 10 challenger player Stroist has tirelessly worked on.

So going into the patch, the Garen changes looked really interesting as Riot were trying to shift him away from crit and into bruiser. But with the changes now on live servers, they’re looking quite underwhelming. Garen’s win rate actually dropped a bit this patch, which isn’t a big surprise because he did lose quite a bit of power from his W and also lost damage on R. The bigger surprise is that bruiser items have not surpassed Phantom Dancer as Garen’s best second purchase. Black Cleaver is being played a lot more on Garen this patch as players are experimenting with bruiser setups. However, PD is still outperforming by around 3% which is quite significant. So, all in all, Garen is just in a weaker spot than he was last patch. Not enough to warrant a further push down the tier list, but the changes didn’t actually achieve anything significant.

Atrox was the other top laner who had power shifted around in his kit for 25.11, and the changes have landed net negative. We showed you guys in the pre-patch tier list that with Atrox’s passive damage nerfed, but his sweet spot Q damage buffed, he now needs to land at least two sweet spot Q’s to make up for the loss in damage on passive. And it turns out that this is just a net nerf for Atrox over a large enough sample size as hitting Passu is literally guaranteed in a skirmish while hitting two sweet spot Q’s is much more difficult. So as a result, we’re going to be adjusting Atrox down one tier for mid patch going from S into A. So for the complete top lane tier list, we have some very clear front runners in meta right now with Set, Shen, and Kale sitting a cut above all else. Besides Garen and Atrox, Cho’Gath was the one other top lane champ changed for 25.11. And as we expected, his nerf did not significantly reduce his power level, so we’ll be leaving him in the S tier. With Kale being such a strong champ in meta right now, everyone knows how good her scaling is, but what many players underestimate is her level one trading power. This is something our challenger top laner Stromp has showcased in his recent full game commentary on Kale.

Impact of Champion Changes on Top Lane Meta

The recent changes in the 25.11 patch have brought about significant shifts in the top lane meta. Garen, once a promising candidate for a bruiser playstyle, has seen a dip in his win rate following adjustments that have left him in a weaker position compared to the previous patch. While players are experimenting with bruiser setups featuring Black Cleaver, Phantom Dancer continues to outperform as Garen’s preferred second purchase by a significant margin of around 3%.

On the other hand, Atrox has experienced a net negative impact from the alterations to his kit, leading to a tier adjustment from S to A due to difficulties in compensating for the passive damage nerf with the buffed sweet spot Q damage. In the current top lane tier list, Set, Shen, and Kale emerge as the dominant champions, with Cho’Gath maintaining his S tier status despite the changes. Kale’s strength not only lies in her scaling but also in her underestimated level one trading power, which was expertly demonstrated by challenger top laner Stromp in a recent full game commentary on the champion.

Champion Analysis: Kale’s Early Game Strengths

So, let’s have a listen in to see what he had to say.

Now, people may not know this about Kale, but she actually has one of the strongest level ones in the game, assuming you actually get to hit someone. Um, now the thing about lethal tempo is this is really OP for like um early on later on as well, but especially like pre six um Kale like you get 6% attack speed instead of 4% because you’re a melee champion. So what I like to do here is I like to start E. Um, you can go Doran’s Blade, you can go Doran’s ring. Um, and you kind of just want to fight the enemy top laner.

So if I can find this guy um before he gets to reach his wave, then I just win. So, here I’m just going to fight this guy cuz I know I win. I’m going to pop my potion a little bit early. I’m going to use my either and then I have max stacks from my uh passive and yeah, he’s just dead. Can you imagine doing that to an Ireelia as Kale? Normally, no. But if you know your champion’s limits, you can just do that.

Moving on to jungle now with Diana buff for this patch. She’s back in a great spot and she’d be performing even better if players were running the optimal build. What has started working best on Diana now that Leandre has been nerfed is a rocket belt rush in its place. Rocket Belt was buffed in 25.10 while Leandre was nerfed. So, there was a massive gold efficiency swing in favor of Rocket Belt. As a matter of fact, both of the core items Diana is finding the most success with right now got buffed as it’s Lichbane as your second purchase.

So, relative to the Leandre and Riftmaker core, which is still the most popular on Diana, this Rocket Belt in a Lichbane setup is more bursty, less expensive, while its only downside is the fact it provides less durability. You’re still getting 300 health from Rocket Belt, though, which is the exact same amount of health that is on Leandre’s. So, one item, you aren’t any less durable, but have your first item completed 350 gold sooner. Thematically, Rocket Belt is just a really great item for Diana because its active dash allows her that extra gap close in fights to help guarantee that she gets her ultimate off on the correct targets.

So, Diana is definitely a jungler worth considering to pick back up for 25.11 as she’s being moved up into the jungle S tier. So, Diana gaining a bit more power than expected was the only jungle change we did not predict correctly for 25.11 as the Elise, Rengar, and Udier changes aligned with our expectations. Rengar is still in a relatively weak spot for the average player as he’s still down in Btier. Ely was moved from S into A tier due to her nerf as she ended up losing a little under 2% win rate and then Udier gained about 0.5% win rate from his buff. So, he’s pretty close to being worthy of an S tier spot, but just slightly off. The top tier picks for jungle right now are honestly all around the same power level. OP tier is a bit harder to construct for jungle at the moment because we’re really not seeing that true OP pick in meta right now.

Powerful Jungle Picks in 25.11

Voli, Jarvin, and Noctturn are three of the most consistently powerful champions that you can play. So, we’ve got them in the OP tier, but you could make a case for most of the S tier junglers to be an OP pick as well. For mid lane in 25.11, one item change that has influenced a few champs was the buff to Horizon Focus. Of course, picks like Zerith and Velcos have been liking the changes, but one champ you don’t see as often with the item who’s quite underrated with it is Hi.

Horizon does make a lot of sense for Hi because he is longer range and can easily proc the hypershot passive from Horizon. Getting that vision from Horizon is actually really big for Huay in a lot of instances because it allows him to line up those super long range QWs. And the alternative option as Haye’s second purchase is Leandre, but it was just nerfed. So the relative power of Horizon has gone up quite a bit for Hi. So if you’re picking up Hui for this patch, a core of Blackfire into Horizon Focus is definitely one that we’d recommend you try. So for the midlane tier list in 25.11, we just have a few minor adjustments.

The buff to Horizon Focus was not quite enough to propel Zerith up into that OP tier spot. So he’s getting moved back into S for mid patch while Diana will stand alone in the OP tier. TF, Cassadin, and Rise changes have played out to expectations, so there’s no further movement for them on the tier list. Other than Zerith, three other mid laners you should really be running Horizon Focus on for 25.11 are Velcos, Zoey, and Ari. Vel is one of the more underrated mages in meta right now as the artillery mages have seen a really nice boost in relative power lately. Well, besides Ziggs as he’s just been in a pretty bad spot for a while now as a mid laner.

Looking at the AD carry role now, it’s really nice to see Samira builds actually having some variety for 25.11. With Samira gaining life steal effectiveness on her Q and R, it’s made Blood Thirstster a powerful rush item for the champ. Way back a few seasons ago, Blood Thirstster was the optimal rush item for Samira, so it’s finally back after a long hiatus. The Collector is still going to offer up more damage on one item, though, while BT will provide more survivability.

So, it’s not like Blood Thirstster is just the clear-cut favorite. We cover this in our ADC itemization guide for Samiro with damage comparisons of the two items. So, when would Blood Thirstster Rush be the most optimal then? If you’re up against a more bursty bot lane duo or against a very pokey bot lane is where BT makes the most sense. In less threatening lanes though, rushing the collector is still ideal. So, for example, if you’re against a Jin Lulu duo, you’re really not worried about getting bursted out or poked.

So, rushing the collector makes sense. If you’re against a Tristana Nautilus duo though, who has some really powerful all-in strength, added survivability from Blood Thirstster is very valuable to have. So, the core build, if going for Blood Thirstster Rush, has you picking up the Collector second and Infinity Edge third. For Samira’s tier list placement, the changes were not quite enough to move her into an S tier spot.

Current ADC Tier List and Meta Shifts

So, she remains in the A tier as a good pickup. If you are someone who likes being ahead of the trend and taking advantage of underrated champions, then Civer is Definitely that pick for ADC right now. Buffs this patch have moved Civer into top tier territory and you could argue for a spot in the OP tier. Any nerf to Jinx, Trist, or Senna in the coming patches and Civer is next in line for that push into OP. Definitely make sure you are running the optimal build for Civer in 25.11. The most powerful two-item core is Yel Wild Arrows with Infinity Edge and we know this because of the breakdown in our ADC itemization course.

This is actually the first patch where more players have caught on and have brought that build up to being the most played on Civer. For the longest time, it was Essence Reaver with Flicker Blades as Civer’s most popular two-item core. But as we found when making our ADC itemization guide, it’s literally the weakest two-item core for Civer DPS-wise in the Midame. So, we have a new look to the ADC OP tier for 25.11 as Senna is moving up to join Jinx and Tristana. With Senna, it was just a matter of players figuring out the optimal build for her. And since then, she’s been dominating solo Q. Shiv with Black Cleaver is proving to be an extremely powerful setup for Senna ADC. and you definitely want to be taking advantage of her while you can because with how she’s performing this patch, we’re pretty confident a nerf is on the way for 25.12.

Riot usually nerfs based on a combination of high win rate and high play rate. And right now, Senna has both of those being the most played ADC, while her win rate across all ELO brackets is higher than everyone’s besides Nila. So, with Senna making her way into meta in a big way, it’s Lucian who has dropped out. Lucian nerfs haven’t completely destroyed him, but he’s definitely much weaker than where he was in 25.10. The buff to Ash’s Q to where she can now stack it up on towers did absolutely nothing in regards to increasing her overall win rate. These kind of buffs seem like they should land somewhat impactful, but rarely actually do. So, we are going to be moving Ash back down into A tier for mid patch. And then for Smolder, he actually did end up losing a bit more power than expected from his base stat changes. So, he’s being adjusted down one tier going from S into A.

Support Meta Analysis and Elise’s Performance

So, this patch was another uneventful one for support as we didn’t have a single support champ adjusted, which means there isn’t any movement on the tier list. OP tier is going to stay the same with Braum and Nami as two of the most powerful champs in meta. One thing worth noting is that even though Elise Jungle ended up losing a good chunk of power from the nerf, support Elise is completely fine. Jungle ended up losing just under 2% win rate while support has stayed neutral, which makes sense due to the nature of the nerf. It was Elise’s passive AP ratio that got nerfed, and AP ratio nerfs are never as impactful for support champs due to the less gold income and inability to stack up a ton of items to take advantage of AP ratios. So, Elise is going to remain in the S tier as one of the better pure carry supports despite the nerf.
