Any additional adversaries during such a fight can mean your death. As always in hardcore mode, to be 100% safe, just form a group for some elite content. Some areas in the game use dynamic respawns to maintain mob populations, so be cautious. In such areas, mobs may respawn quickly; these are often tight places like caves, mines, or castles with large numbers of enemies.

There is usually no way of escaping since monsters are faster than you and can attack you while you’re running.
