Hello, fellow summoners! Librarian Husky here, bringing you the latest updates from Patch 14.21. The Swain mini rework is here, and over 30 champions are being adjusted for this patch. The bounty system is also being changed, so there’s a lot to cover. By the end of this article, you’ll be caught up with everything you need to know heading into Patch 14.21.
Champion Mastery and Win Rate Impact
Did you know that mastering your champion can boost your win rate by a massive 9% on average? This is why learning from experts is crucial. By selecting the champion you want to master, you can receive guidance from Challenger experts, who will teach you how to play your champion at the rank you’re stuck in.
Tempo Buff for Melee Champions
Tempo is being buffed for melee champions, with its attack speed per stat increasing from 5% to 6%. Blade of the Ruined King is being nerfed, reducing its current health on hit damage from 10% to 8% for melee and from 6% to 5% for ranged champions.
Sorcerer’s Shoes Nerf
Sorcerer’s Shoes are also being nerfed, with the magic penetration on the boots being lowered from 15 to 12. Additionally, bounties are being changed for this patch, as minion and monster gold will now directly contribute to bounties instead of comparing to the average farm of the enemy team.
Kill Bounties Adjustment
Kill bounties are now going to be based on gold earned from kills and assists, minus gold given away from deaths, instead of the previous system of kill and death streaks. These changes aim to make bounties more balanced and reflective of a player’s contribution to the game.
Champion Buffs in Patch 14.21
Azir is the first champion getting buffed, with his health regeneration going up from 5 to 7 and his base attack damage increasing from 52 to 56. Corki is receiving meaningful buffs as well, with his passive damage increasing from 15% to 20%, W damage up by 50 at all ranks, and the bonus AD ratio going from 150% to 200%.
Gangplank and Irelia Buffs
Gangplank’s mana regeneration is being increased from 7.5 to 8, and his E recharge time is being reduced by 1 second. Irelia is also getting buffs, with her Q mana cost dropping from 20 to 15 and the cooldown being lowered by 1 second. However, R will no longer reduce the cooldown of Q by 0.5 to 1.5 seconds, though the total AD ratio for Q damage is increasing from 60% to 70%.

Volibear’s skirmishing strength is taking a hit, with his W cooldown being increased from 12 to 14 seconds. Yone’s W max health damage is also dropping from 11% scaling to 15%, down to 10% scaling to 14%.
