Hey there, it’s Librarian Husky! You won’t believe what just happened—I won a game while lagging the entire time! Yes, you heard me right—I won a round, even though I was lagging throughout. It sounds unreal, but it’s true. I lagged out for the last 20 seconds and still managed to secure the win. Pretty surprising, right? Maybe lag isn’t so bad after all. Under normal circumstances, most players would have lost, but somehow, I pulled through. How did that even happen?

Struggles in PvP as an Enhancement Shaman

Now, let’s get to what I really wanted to talk about: playing PvP as an Enhancement Shaman can be incredibly frustrating. In fact, it can feel downright depressing. In recent games, my damage has been embarrassingly low. I can’t see how anyone could look at that and think it’s acceptable. Look at the details and check the damage output. I’m pressing abilities, but it’s as if I don’t even have weapon enchants. What’s going wrong here?

Confusion Over Low Damage Output

I’ve got shields up for what feels like forever, and yet I’m barely surviving. Compare my damage to others—there’s clearly something off. I swear I’m pressing all the right abilities, but nothing’s landing. How am I still alive while doing virtually no **damage? Seriously, what’s happening here?

The Struggles of Coordination

Playing Enhancement in PvP sometimes feels like trying to coordinate different alphabets—it just doesn’t flow. I need help just to stay on target. We need to kill anything—just make a play! I’m here, I’m trying, but it feels impossible. Sometimes, it’s like we’re not clicking as a team. And yet, somehow, the healer is dead. What just happened? I genuinely have no idea.

Unexpected Strategies

Sometimes, the best strategy is to embrace the unexpected. I threw out a move I knew my opponent wouldn’t see coming, and it worked. That’s how you win—by doing the unexpected. Suddenly, we hit big damage, wave after wave. It’s still PvP, technically, but it didn’t feel like PvP in that moment. What was that, even?

Reflections on Enhancement Shaman

I’ve been playing Enhancement long before anyone started paying attention to it. I didn’t do it to make a statement—I just liked the playstyle. Lava Lash hitting for 10 million isn’t bad, but it’s still disappointing when it’s your top ability. Elemental Blast hit 14 times for 7 million, and that’s considered “massive damage” in this spec. But when Disintegrate hits 49 times for 69 million, something feels off. And Flame Shock as my second-highest damage source? That’s just sad.

The Pain of Playing Enhancement

This guide is really meant to show you the pain of playing Enhancement Shaman. If you haven’t played this spec, you might not understand just how frustrating it can be.

The Pain of Playing Enhancement Shaman

For those who play Enhancement, you know the struggle is real. Let’s take solo shuffles as an example. You sit in a queue for 20 minutes, and then you finally get in, thinking you’ll deal damage. But it turns into a disaster quickly. You pop a shield, but you’re already close to dying. Cool, Rampage hits five times for 13 million, Lava Lash for 4 million.

Experimenting with Different Builds

Let’s try another build, one based around Stormstrike with Ascendance. This has been the only build that has given me any success in solo shuffle—running Stormstrike and Ascendance. It’s time for another match, but once again, I’m just running in circles, barely surviving and getting kited while trying to deal damage. The frustration continues.

Frustration with Gameplay

I had my damage perfectly lined up, and then suddenly—boom—I get kited or someone dies before I can even finish my burst. I topped the damage with Lightning Bolt, but still couldn’t bring the enemy’s health below 60%. This was supposed to showcase the potential of Enhancement, but instead, it’s just proving how bad this spec currently is. It’s almost impossible to enjoy.

Comparing to Other Classes

Playing Enhancement feels even worse when compared to other classes like Death Knights. DKs can pop Anti-Magic Shell, making them immune to stuns and slows. Meanwhile, they pull everyone into range and have seemingly infinite slows themselves. It feels incredibly unfair.
