Are there any advantages to the new system?

Under the reworked group loot mechanics for VotI heroic runs, fairness has significantly increased, offering a more tailored experience for players:

• Items not aligned with your current specialization won’t be available for you to roll if other players are interested in them. For example, as a Protection Paladin, you cannot attempt to obtain items geared towards a Holy Paladin.
• The opportunity to receive a non-spec item is provided to you if there is no interest in receiving it from others.
• You are restricted from rolling on items belonging to another class or type of armor.
• The system prevents players from rolling “Need” on an item if they are already equipped with the same item or one of equivalent item level, whether it’s equipped, in their bag, or even stored in the bank. However, you may still roll for items of the same
• item level if they feature a Tertiary stat or a Socket.
• In the case that two similar items drop, securing one will automatically exclude your roll from the second.

These changes ensure a more equitable distribution of loot, aligning items more closely with the needs and roles of the players involved.
