


Hey, what is up guys? It’s your boy Speed here. We’re back with patch 7.39B. We’re going to be going over the changes of this patch. Going over it pretty quickly. Not a big patch. Let’s break it down. What’s good, what’s not, and so on and so forth.
Overview of Patch 7.39B Changes
Neutral item changes are significant in this patch. The Giddy Pollen bag has received improvements, offering more health and reduced restoration loss. It now features a substantial 700 radius, 12-second duration AOE damage over time effect, dealing 12% of the enemy’s health and reducing healing by 30%. Particularly effective on backline jumpers, this item is a valuable addition to the arsenal of heroes like Tusk.
Desen Bloodright no longer results in self-damage when casting mana-based spells like ODQ or Viper Q. The giant small crushing blow now lasts 3 seconds instead of 4, impacting its popularity. The Magnifying Monle has seen a reduction in cast range, affecting its effectiveness as a tier four item.
Helm of the undying stands out as a crucial tier five item for every team, providing survivability by extending the death delay of fallen heroes within a 1,200-unit range. Crude enchantment has also been enhanced, with a 10% increase in health restoration and a 3% reduction in intelligence.
Analysis of Recent Hero Changes
I mean, this one’s not bad if you have like satanic sonasha. Like, it’s pretty good with those types of builds. AM got some buffs, seemingly pretty significant on mage bean’s mirror. The problem is, I don’t know how much you really want to take this. I do feel that it’s underrated honestly because mana thirst is just cool. But yeah, I don’t know. AM was unpicked in Dream League. Unpicked AM. Like, come on. There’s got to be a singular good AM game. Nope.
Unpicked. Ax’s AS is slightly worse. Probably still fine. Beast Master Rugged. His innate no longer blocks tower damage. Okay. No longer increases block chance. My bad. It does block towers. His innate stout shield, but not increased chance.
Bloodseeker. His blood rage now has a cast time on units that aren’t him and its bonus base damage to the damage it gives him or allies or enemies is higher which I guess is a nerf to giving it to enemies and better for yourself. You’ve guys probably seen the sounds for bloodseeker cheese. That stuff is I mean it’s pretty… it’s… it’s pretty gross. I hope they actually remove that interaction. I really don’t like it.
Impact of Patch Changes on Bristleback and Broodmother
Pretty stupid. Bristlebacks not rocket nasal goo radius decreased from 900 to 750. This is a pretty big nerf, right? If you’re far away from him, you’re not… not just going to get hit by random goose. Mainly for subs that would just kind of die when they weren’t even out of position because it’s not rocket bristle back happen to be remotely close to them. So, I actually like this this nerf. I think it’s very reasonable and a cool way to to nerf the hero without destroying it conceptually.
Broodmother necrotic web’s health regen reduction now also affects health restoration at the same values. Now, if I’m not mistaken, this is insane. Like straight up insane. So, I mean, if I’m not mistaken, it should mean that satanic doesn’t really do that much, right? I I assume this affects life steal. It’s health restoration, which I believe is the overall term that just… just affects life steal. So, wow. I mean, it definitely does. This is a level 30 undying. I mean, no way satanic is just that bad there. What if I give him a deso? I mean, I I just can’t. That seems kind of insane, honestly. Just life steal is just completely cooked. Yeah, there’s no way you’re hitting that hard. It’s barely healing you. Holy. If I get rid of the web, I mean, yeah, it’s way more healing. I mean, I don’t know. That is pretty ridiculous. So, Brood Brood just has some crazy matchups.

Impact on Heroes and Abilities
I mean, specifically, the heroes that need to life stealer are affected by health restoration. If I’m not mistaken, Morph’s health change is now affected by negative health restoration effect. So, like stuff like this. I mean, apparently morling is just unplayable into brood. Like straight up unplayable, unless I’m mistaken. That… That’s pretty crazy.
Centaur Warrunner max movement speed decreased from 600 to 575 on horsepower. Okay, interesting. I guess that’s some sort of an effect to stampede, I would have to imagine.
Dark sear duration decreased on shell very significantly. Oh, wow. Well, that’s pretty rough. Down by 4 seconds at max level. That’s going to be a big deal. You’re just going to lack a bit of damage in some fights when it expires on especially allies when it’s hard to keep track of.
And wall of replica cast range down by 300 which also hurts his ability to chase people frequently. You would use it as a way to cut people off. So this is going to this is going to drop his winner probably by a pretty significant I’m going to say two to 3%. Especially the duration on ion shell.
Changes in Hero Abilities
Dazzle noboom heal amp from dazzle increased. Uh yeah, I mean it’s uh it’s a lot. This novel boon dazzle. I don’t really like playing the hero. It’s kind of boring with no boon, but I don’t know. This number is like insane.
Disruptor, thunder strike, slow duration decreased, which it definitely needed to be from and and on the thunderstorm faster from 08 to 6. So, I have a feeling this hero is still going to be pretty pretty damn viable. Um, if you’re a disruptor player, I I wouldn’t think about it too much.

Balance Changes in the Latest Patch
Haha, devil joke. Elder Titan base movement speed decreased by five. Nature‘s attendance wisp count on inch from 8 to 9. Okay, bringing back level one wisps. I mean, I guess all levels. Enigma splitting image damage threshold increase from 350 to 375, which is a nerf. Takes more damage to shoot out one of them. Idolons created from multiplying will now automatically attack the same target as their parents. That’s actually really nice. I feel like very frequently it would kind of grief and you’d have to remicro it and you lose a lot of damage. So, this is this is actually a pretty nice buff. Kez abilities that are unit targeted. Kez always has like 40,000 changes, which is actually respectable. They’re really trying to make this hero work. It’s a hard hero to balance, I’m sure. Abilities that are unit targeted attacks now allow Kez to rush to the target. Duration increased by a lot in the early level. Mata cost on talent to buff. And Chtoai once again grants bonus stun and critical strike from marks generated by Parrying an enemy hero. Parry bonus critical strike rescaled. Um, okay. I I I don’t know the numbers on that. Lich gets a lot more mana when heroes die next to him. Life stealer Gore storm is a little bit better. Lena slow burn the damage was changed or spell amplification now affects only the total spell damage before the burn damage is calculated. I assume this is probably a nerf. It was probably just like calculated in the wrong way. Morling health change is now affected by negative health restoration effects which seems like a giga nerf. I mean I I could be wrong but I don’t know. Is vessel health restoration?

Balance Changes in the Latest Patch Update
What is a vessel counted as? I don’t know; it is wait. Oh, so was the last patch morphing just like immune to all this stuff because it just didn’t update with the patch or something. Okay, Nature‘s Prophet tree enchantment radius. So, this is where he makes all the trees healing trees. Down by 300. So, that’s pretty rough. Slight buff to this garbage facet. Sorry, it’s just bad. Wrath of Nature base damage decreased by 10 at all levels, which is actually very significant because 10 it scales up per bounce, so it really matters. Super matters. Nightstalker night duration decreased. They just nerfed. Zero need a nerf. Omni Knight. Hammer of Purity nerfed by a lot. Cooldown of Hammer of Purity down by 4 seconds and the damage decreased in the early levels as well. So Omni Knight pretty big nerf. Definitely still playable but pretty big nerf. Oracle lost 2 strength gain and the heal amp on his shard. Probably still a good hero. Ring Master they buffed the sideshow seekers facet by quite a lot actually. Not sure if it’s a good dumb. I’m going to keep it a stack. Sand King burrow strike and mana cost decreased. All right. They buffed his stinger talent, his burrow strike cast range talent, and his other 15 talent. Hero is probably still pretty bad on average though. Shadow Shaman nerfs to ether shock damage in the early levels and 1-second cooldown increase on shackles. Silencer damage percentage decreased.

Hero Changes and Impact
Uh, okay. This is for suffer and silence. I mean, I don’t know. I feel like this hero was kind of whatever. Maybe this has something to do with the Bloodseeker Silencer combo. Skyrath Arcane both base damage increased by actually a pretty solid 15 damage at max level, which you know is pretty nice, especially if you if you do decide to max this ability out. So, max Q Skyrath a lot more legit.
Slark lost five HP regen at level one. Oh lord. Slark in general. I mean, this doesn’t just hit Slark support. Slark I don’t want to call the hero dead. I don’t think it’s dead, but damn, that is a nerf.
Sniper base armor increased by one. Not bad. Tech’s got 15 damage on his bomb at level one, which is actually pretty solid. TA’s Q cost 10 more mana, which actually does suck the hero’s mana problem. And she lost Wow, a lot of damage on refraction. Jeez. Five damage, 10 damage, 15, 20 based on the level. 20 at max. Oh my. Cuz it’s 20 for every instance with with refractor fast is like what? 12 or something. Oh lord, that is that is brutal. That is brutal. I don’t I don’t want to say it’s going to kill the hero in the pro scene at least, but Probably in pubs. I don’t know if you should pick it. Probably not.
Implications of the Changes
The changes to These heroes have varying degrees of impact on their gameplay and effectiveness in matches. Skyrath Mage’s increased base damage provides a significant boost, especially when maxing out the Q ability, making the hero more formidable in engagements. Slark‘s reduction in HP regen at level one may weaken his laning phase and Overall sustainability. The adjustments to Sniper’s base armor and Techies’ bomb damage offer slight improvements to their early-game capabilities.
However, the alterations to Templar Assassin’s mana cost for the Q ability and the substantial loss of damage on refraction could significantly affect her laning presence and overall damage output. These changes may require players to adapt their playstyles and item builds to compensate for the hero’s reduced effectiveness. Overall, the patch adjustments introduce new dynamics to the game and challenge players to explore different strategies and hero selections.
Changes in Hero Abilities
Terriblade nerf to Dark Unity, which is the damage penalty. His illusions do 10% less damage, which is actually a ton. So, that really sucks. Pretty big nerf to to terror. Tinker defense matrix no longer blinks Tinker if he is rooted or leashed. Uh, okay. Um, troll warlord nerfed. Why is troll nerfed on bad influence? What in the world? Underlord manac cost on gate. And why is Underlord slightly buffed and troll nerfed? I mean, not that underlord’s like broken or something, but I I don’t know. I feel like these heroes are on pretty similar tiers.

Ursa slow resistance on overpower is now a flat 25% rather than 10 20 30 40. People don’t even know that. Ursa gets slow resistance when his W is active. Fury swipe on Roshan time decreased. Sure. Visulture facet was the second highest winner facet in Dota and so I guess they saw that and nerfed it. I I can’t believe no pros are playing this and yet it was the second highest winner facet in the game. That’s pretty insane to me honestly. But uh to be fair the first one was uh was wraithing skeletons which also no one was playing. I mean people were trying it at least. Uh, so the secondary target penalty increased from 50 to 70 and warlock chaotic offering golem emulation now affected by AoE increases. How insignificant.
Okay, pretty solid patch overall. Just some nice quality of life changes. Um, few buffs to, you know, some heroes that needed some small buffs and few, you know, nerfed heroes like Shaman and Nature’s Profits up and um, and Doom and Disruptor and Dark Sear, Bristleback. Yeah, pretty nice patch. which I would say for for a B patch, this is what you want.
Quality Life Changes for Meta Improvement
Just some quality-of-life adjustments to slightly alter the meta. Kudos to Valve for these tweaks.
