Hey, what is up guys? It’s Librarian Husky, and today we’re going to be talking about the best combos in Dota 7.37. Tomorrow’s article is going to be a carry tier list, so I hope you guys are looking forward to that. Did I mention that in the last article? I hope I did. Either way, we’re going to cover the best combos in Dota 7.37, so let’s get into it.

How I Determine the Best Combos

The way I determine these combos is twofold. First, I look at win rates to see what’s performing well. However, the main method I use is observing what has been effective in my games, which strategies have worked very well, which heroes are broken, and combining them or listing the combos that were clearly successful in my matches. Let’s dive in.

First Combo: Gyrocopter and Tusk

Our first combo is Gyrocopter and Tusk. I’m a big fan of this combo for several reasons. First, Tusk now has Drinking Buddies. If you’re unfamiliar with it, Drinking Buddies is one of Tusk‘s facets. Instead of enhancing your auto attacks’ damage when you’re close to a target (as Tag Team did), it grants flat damage to both you and the target you select. This is particularly effective with heroes that have high attack speed, like Lina, or with heroes like Gyrocopter, who have spread damage capabilities.

Effectiveness of Tusk’s Drinking Buddies with Gyrocopter and Medusa

It’s also effective with heroes like Medusa. You can imagine how high attack speed or spread damage synergizes, making Gyrocopter my personal favorite for two reasons. First, when you use Drinking Buddies, it pulls Tusk toward the target. This mechanic can be a bit awkward with Lina—though still a good combo, Tag Team might be more suitable since pulling her around isn’t ideal. However, it’s practical in the early game, especially when you can pull a teammate to you, enabling snowball saves.

Gyrocopter’s Synergy with Drinking Buddies

In one game, I played Gyrocopter offlane with Drinking Buddies. This experience inspired me to discuss this combo. I was frontline with Rocket Barrage, fighting aggressively, when Tusk pulled me to him, saving me from an EMP by Invoker. Upon exiting the snowball, I had a bonus 95 damage with Flak Cannon, and you can imagine how effective that was. Every enemy hit was taking an additional 95 damage, which is substantial.

Best Heroes to Pair with Tusk

Big fan of Tusk here! You could replace Gyrocopter with Lina or Medusa; those are probably the best three in the game right now, in my opinion, when paired with Drinking Buddies. It’s definitely worth giving this combo a try—it’s pretty cool. The next combo is a very simple and standard one.

Lena and Sven: A Top Combo in Dota 7.37

I’ve discussed this combo a few times before, but it’s very powerful and definitely deserves to be on the list of best combos in Dota 7.37—Lena and Sven. Lena is arguably the best carry in the game right now, especially if you’re mechanically skilled and understand the hero. She’s a bit difficult to play; you need to know how to maintain her Fiery Soul stacks and manage her mana. Proper positioning is crucial until you hit 3K HP with her level 15 talent.

Why Lena and Sven Work So Well Together

So, why is Lena and Sven such a strong combo? The answer is quite simple. There are two main reasons. First, their lane synergy revolves around stun, and stun lanes are extremely powerful and easy to execute, making them a go-to recommendation. Second, in the mid-game, Lena’s main issue is her low armor. Despite having a high HP pool by level 15 due to items like Falcon Blade and Satanic, she suffers from low agility gain, leaving her with just 10 or 11 armor.

How Sven Solves Lena’s Armor Problem

This is where Sven shines. He is the best hero to solve Lena’s armor problem. While Treant Protector can also help with Living Armor, it doesn’t feel as consistent, and Warcry offers more armor while also providing a physical damage barrier. Sven‘s Warcry makes Lena much tankier, enabling her to survive physical damage that would otherwise be a major threat.

Why Tinker and Io Make an Unstoppable Combo

This combo is basic, simple, but undeniably broken. Coming in at number three, we have a really cool one—Tinker and Io. Tinker and Io may seem goofy, but both heroes have impressive win rates right now. In fact, Tinker currently holds the highest win rate in Dota, which is rarely a good sign. Why is he at the top? It’s all about Healbots, and Io might be the hero that abuses Healbots the most.

The Power of Healing and Sustain

When Io gets healed by Healbots, he, in turn, heals his ally. The ally also naturally receives healing from the Healbots, resulting in around 90 healing per second. However, due to Io’s ability to amplify healing, the actual number is closer to 100 or 110 healing per second. Tinker will likely buy a Holy Locket, while Io will go for a Mechanism and Holy Locket, creating near-infinite sustain.

Counters and the Reality in Pubs

Sure, there are counters to this, like Orb of Corrosion, Doom, or Ancient Apparition. But in pubs, these heroes are often not picked, making this combo nearly unstoppable. With barriers and healing from Io, a hyper-carry can easily take down towers while being fully buffed. And if you think killing Tinker or Io is easy, think again. This Io will have two Bracers, around 1.8k HP, and is continuously healed by Tinker. It’s a truly goofy yet highly effective combination.

Marcy and Visage: The Power of Death Toll

If you get the chance to try this combo, trust me, do it—it’s definitely something. Next up, we have Marcy and Visage. This combo is really strong because of Visage’s Death Toll. Death Toll is a facet that grants him bonus gold if he secures kills with his W, Soul Assumption. If you kill someone with Soul Assumption, or if you hit them with it and they die within 3 seconds, you get bonus gold.

The Gold Advantage of Death Toll

This bonus gold ranges from 105 at level one to 210 gold, depending on how many charges you have. This is obviously pretty crazy—210 gold, even 105 gold, for killing a support. Supports usually give about 200 to 250 gold for a level one kill. Getting an extra 30 to 50% more gold for a kill is pretty broken. In the mid-game, 210 gold is almost always a 50% increase, if not more, making Visage one of the best heroes at securing these types of kills.

Why Marcy Complements Visage

So, why pair this with Marcy? There are two reasons. First, Marcy is exceptional at forcing kills. She’s one of the best heroes in the game at initiating early engagements, and her level one and two are among the best for any melee hero. Visage, on the other hand, wants someone to stand in front, force fights, and tank damage. Marcy excels at all of this, plus she has the Bodyguard facet, which makes her an even better partner for Visage.

Marcy and Visage: The Armor Synergy

I recently learned a lot about Marcy’s Bodyguard, which gives bonus armor for six seconds to whoever she uses it on. Similar to Tusk’s Tag Team, if Visage hits someone next to Marcy, Marcy will automatically auto-attack them. This doesn’t put her normal auto-attack on cooldown, allowing for double attacks. This can be really abused with Visage because he gains bonus attack speed from Grave Chill. Combining Marcy’s Bodyguard with Visage results in ridiculous damage.

Addressing Visage’s Early Game Weakness

As I mentioned, Bodyguard provides armor, and Visage actually has severe armor issues in the early game—he has only one or two base armor, which is terrible. This combo is really overpowered throughout the game, and the tempo of these heroes in the laning stage and mid-game is fantastic. Marcy should buy Bracers, and Visage can buy almost anything—probably auras like Drums, Vlad’s, or Solar Crest. You can fight off cooldown and go crazy.

The Power of Medusa and Crystal Maiden in the Safe Lane

Our next combo involves abusing probably the best safe laner in the game, Medusa. Medusa is a crazy hero right now because her Mana Shield is innate, meaning you don’t even have to skill it, and she has two nukes in the laning stage, making her very scary to deal with. Pair her with Crystal Maiden, who should take Cold Comfort, in my opinion—a facet that gives her 75% bonus mana regeneration on Clarity, Sage’s Mask, and similar items. Anytime Crystal Maiden casts a spell, it gives that mana to all nearby allies, making this lane incredibly strong.

Medusa and Crystal Maiden: A Devastating Lane Combo

Medusa’s ensnare ability, while a root that deals damage, can be difficult to land accurately. Additionally, Mystic Snake no longer slows, making it somewhat challenging to use effectively. However, when paired with Crystal Maiden, these challenges disappear. Crystal Maiden’s Frostbite sets up Medusa’s ensnare perfectly, creating a deadly combination. This lane is incredibly strong, with Medusa benefiting from Crystal Maiden’s passive, which provides health and spell usage. At level three, you should prioritize this route, although taking it at level two can also be effective. With Crystal Maiden constantly healing Medusa, they can protect each other and dominate the laning phase. The combination is absurdly powerful throughout the game. All Crystal Maiden needs to do is buy Drums and Solar Crest, place them on Medusa, and you essentially secure the win.

Ember Spirit and Jakiro: A Simple Yet Effective Combo

Next up is Ember Spirit paired with Jakiro. Ember Spirit is currently a broken hero, and pairing him with Jakiro creates a strong duo. By purchasing Mage Slayer, Ember can chain enemies while Jakiro follows up with his spells. Jakiro often struggles to set up his abilities unless enemies are in melee range, but with Ember’s help, this isn’t an issue. The combo is straightforward: Ember wants someone who can provide long-range damage and disable, and Jakiro fits that role perfectly. Jakiro has some of the highest damage in the early game with any of his abilities, making this a simple yet highly effective combo.

Ember Spirit and Jakiro: A Strong Duo in the Current Meta

This combo isn’t exactly new, but Ember Spirit with Mage Slayer is incredibly strong, and Jakiro is performing well right now, so I wanted to highlight this pairing. The synergy between Ember’s chains and Jakiro’s spells makes them a formidable duo in the early and mid-game stages.

Viper and Oracle: A Deadly Combo

The final combo to discuss is Viper paired with Oracle. Viper is currently a top-tier hero, largely due to his innate Predator ability, which increases his damage based on the enemy’s missing health. The lower their health, the harder Viper hits, making him extremely deadly in prolonged fights. When paired with Oracle, Viper becomes even more dangerous. Oracle can keep Viper alive with heals and magic resistance without disarming him, allowing Viper to continue dishing out damage. This combination is especially potent because Oracle can use Fate’s Edict to grant magic resistance without preventing Viper from attacking, something Winter Wyvern can’t do with Cold Embrace.

Viper and Winter Wyvern: An Alternative Option

Another combo that works well is Viper with Winter Wyvern. While Cold Embrace offers great protection, it does stop Viper from attacking, which can be a drawback. However, Oracle’s ability to heal and protect Viper without limiting his damage output makes Oracle the better choice in most situations. Both Viper and Oracle are currently high win-rate heroes, making this combo extremely effective in pubs, especially when Viper is played mid.

Viper as an Offlane or Carry Option

I recommend playing Viper in the offlane or as a carry. In fact, I believe Viper as a carry is quite strong, even when paired with Oracle in the lane. Viper mid can also work well, especially since Oracle can use her innate abilities to help secure runes by revealing their locations.
