Good day! It’s Librarian Husky. Start with AFF Lock. Wow, what a terrible one to start with, instant C tier. Actually, it’s not that bad. Honestly, I think I’ll put it in B tier. It does a lot of AOE, at least. It does a lot of AOE, but single target is complete trash. It’s got all the utility that other warlocks have, so like, you know, curse of tongues, curse of weakness, and all that good stuff. I think people are underrating AFF Lock. Obviously, everyone’s going to call it bad. I get it, I don’t care what your opinions are, I think it belongs in B.

Evaluation of Arcane Mage

Arcane Mage is pretty good. It’s a mage, so I’ll put it in A tier. It’s like probably the worst Mage spec, no, 100% is the worst Mage spec, but because it’s a mage, it’s very powerful. A for Arcane, in fact, it could even belong in S, but I’ll just leave it in A.

Analysis of Arms Warrior

Arms Warrior, that’s a hot one. I think I’ll put it in B, B or C. I don’t even know, I’ll just put it in B. It’s probably good enough. I mean, it’s going to do really well in anything but the highest keys. Melees in general are very bursty, they are usually pretty tanky, they’re good at just doing consistent damage in smaller poles, but if you’re looking for the very highest keys, Warrior is not it. In fact, I’ll rate Valor Warrior too.

Fury Warrior is probably going to be better with having, uh, Ash Candy and the legendary. It’ll probably be better. Arms Warrior: super tanky, very powerful. You’ll probably see this in a lot of comps like, you know, Outlaw Rogue, Fury Warrior, Bear Tank—those types of comps. The comps where you don’t want to pull very big, if you’re not pulling very big, if you’re just like fighting under eight targets at all times, want to play safe, big iiio. Fury Warrior absolutely owns.

Assessment of Assassination Rogue

Assassination Rogue, put it down here in B. Assassination is pretty good honestly, but it’s not as good as the other two Rogue specs, and I don’t even know.

Initial Evaluation of Assassination and Boomkin

I guess B is fine. Like, it’s not bad. Assassination is okay. Boomkin will be the first S tier. I think Boomkin is really good; it’s been a staple this entire expansion. It brings Mark of the Wild, most importantly, a ton of AOE damage. The tier set is not as good as the one before. I don’t know why the entire community voted on the season 1 tier set, but I think Boomkin is pretty good.

Assessment of BM Hunter and Blood DK

BM Hunter, I’ll put it down here in B. It does good damage, but that’s about it. B is actually pretty tanky nowadays; it’s also got a ton of uncapped AOE, but it doesn’t really have a whole lot going for it outside of that.

Utility is pretty down there, not a very good utility spec. Blood DK, I think, might be the worst tank, so I have to put it here. Let me think about this for a second. If I were to rank all the tanks, it’s definitely the worst tank, but is it really that bad? No, I’ll put it in B. Honestly, like, I don’t think there’s any tank that’s, you know, that bad that it belongs in C. So, while I think it’s bad, I don’t think it’s like the worst thing in the world.

Comparison of Brewmaster, Prop Paladin, and Prot Warrior

And with that said, Brewmaster, I think, is one step above Blood DK, so I’ll put it in A. Brewmaster was pretty solid. I actually kind of liked playing it during PTR, but it’s not a Demon Hunter. It lacks the utility; it’s not as survivable as these other tanks and also doesn’t really do anything special. Like, yeah, it does a lot of damage, but it’s mostly just a lot of AOE damage, that’s about it.

Prop Paladin, I’ll put in the highest of A. Actually, I think I put it in S. Prop Paladin, with the new tier set, the season 1 tier set, and it got buffed pretty damn good, but I will say it’s still not a Demon Hunter. If Vengeance ever gets nerfed, then, you know, there’s a chance of Prop being the best tank, so it’s like up there amongst the best. Prot Warrior, put it right around Brewmaster, very about like the same; it’s pretty durable, it’s good for spell reflex, that’s about it. It’s not particularly special in any way.

Analysis of Bear Tank and Demon Hunter

Bear Tank, Bear Tank owns. Bear Tank is really good with the season 2 tier set. The season 2 tier set was what made them meta, but again, it’s not a Demon Hunter. And with that said, BDH will be the first S+ tier. This is like the go-to tank.

Overview of Top Tank Performance

If you want to play the best tank, it’s going to be the Demon Hunter. It’s good in all ranges of keys: low keys, and the highest keys. It’s the best currently. The only thing that could really knock it down is if you remove the utility sigils. If you make this class unable to use the utility sigils as often, it would definitely knock it down one peg. But until then, it’s the best.

Evaluation of Demo and Destro Locks

Demo Lock, put in A. Demo’s been consistently good. I don’t think it’s as good as Destro Lock. Destro, I’ll definitely put in S, the highest of S. Demo is like a worse version of Destro. I mean, Demo will probably be better if you’re doing smaller pulls and stuff, which could be a lot of lower keys, but Destro is extremely strong, probably the highest DPS spec in the game in season 4. But I’m not going to necessarily put it in S+ just because there are other options, and Destro is not the best when you’re doing lower target pulls. It’s got some weaknesses, but Destro is like probably the best option in terms of a third DPS.

Assessment of Devastation and This Priest

Devastation, I’m also putting in S tier. Devastation has been popping off on PTR. Now, I don’t know if it’ll be brought more than, say, Destro, so I’m going to put it down here for now, but Devastation is massive now, does a ton of damage, doesn’t really have aggro problems as much.

I mean, it’s still going to have aggro problems, but nowhere near as bad as it used to be. This Priest, I’ll probably put in A tier. Yeah, I’ll put it in A tier, probably the highest of A tier. This Priest is extremely good, but there are probably better healers. You’ll still want This Priest for the usual power word fortitude, PI, lots of shields, lots of healing. This Priest is super solid.

Placement of Elemental and Enhancement Shaman, and Ferro Druid

Elemental Shaman, I have no idea where to put. Ali Shaman, I’m honest, I haven’t seen Ali Shaman, probably just B. Doesn’t seem that bad. Enhancement Shaman, yeah, I’m also not too sure where to put Enhancement Shaman, probably also just put it in B. Like, maybe A. I think I’ll put it in B. Yeah, I’ll put it in A.

I mean, enhance has always had a really good damage profile; it’s like extremely good funnel damage, but outside of that, it’s not that impressive. Ferro Druid, Ferro Druid is garbage. I think feral is easily one of the worst DPS in the game right now. The damage is terrible. I mean, I guess they bring Mark of the Wild, that’s like literally about it, but feral is not good. Fire Mage, we already know, actually, I don’t know if it’s fair to put it in S+ because there’s also Frost Mage, so maybe we don’t put it in S+ yet, put it like, uh, we’ll see this later but.

Comparison of Fire and Frost Mages

It’s going to be either or. I think I prefer Fire Mage, but I mean, Frost Mage is also insane, so if it would feel unfair to do it like this. So, I think I’ll just do it like this: Fire Mage is just too good, even though they don’t do the highest overall damage. Like, they’re not going to do as much damage as these specs over here, let’s get that straight. Fire Mage also sucks in lower keys; if you’re out there doing keys lower than like a 25, chances are mobs are going to die so quickly you’re not going to get much value out of Fire Mage.

Fire Mage AOE is also not the best, but they bring crazy utility; they bring Arcane Intellect, which is extremely good. Double lust is extremely powerful for a lot of situations where you just want to burn something down really quickly. Um, they’re also unkillable, and for some reason, they give you Mass Barrier. So, I think Fire Mage deserves the S+ tier slot.

Evaluation of Frost DK and Holy Classes

Frost DK, I haven’t really played much of this entire expansion. I heard it’s pretty good though, like you say, it’s actually decent. I’ve seen it do okay, so I’ll put it in B, probably put it like the highest of B, seems pretty decent actually. Yeah, if it brought a class buff, I could easily pump it up more, but I’ll leave it at the highest of B.

Holy Priest is about the same as This Priest but worse than This Priest; they bring roughly the same things, just not as good. Holy Paladin, worst healer, easily. I might even put it in C tier, but I’ll put it in B tier for now; it seems better than the current season at least, but I mean, it’s going to get hard HPS gapped. I have seen H Pals do some terrible HPS, so maybe I take that back, I’ll put it back in C tier. Holy Paladin is pretty damn bad if it can get hard checked by HPS; that’s a major problem.

Discussion on Marksman Hunter and MW Weaver

Marksman Hunter, I have no idea, you guys can vote on this one. Is Marksman Hunter bad? Is it that bad? It’s probably that bad, right? It’s probably that bad. I’m just going to leave it down there. Uh, okay, some of you guys are saying it’s not that bad. All right, I’ll put it in B. B for bad. MW Weaver, even though it’s been heavily nerfed, I still think M Weaver is pretty solid. Put in the highest of A still; it’s got a good mix of both, like it helps survive one-shots with Chi Cocoons, and uh, it gives the group avoidance and stuff, got pretty decent utility, and it’s also got a pretty decent healing output. I’ll leave it at that.

Analysis of Havoc Demon Hunter

Havoc Demon Hunter is probably the best or one of the best DPS if it weren’t for Vengeance. Havoc would be extremely good because of Chaos Brand, and they bring a ton of damage. One could easily see Havoc in a comp with a Bear Tank, for example. But because Vengeance is the best, there’s no reason for a Havoc Demon Hunter. Really good damage, good AOE, good on smaller targets, good utility—it’s decent all around.

Evaluation of Outlaw Rogue and Preservation

Outlaw is definitely S tier. Outlaw can just belong in any comp and do really well. It’s probably the most solid DPS all around, with the biggest weakness being target cap and not bringing a raid buff. If this class was uncapped, it would be the most OP DPS. But like, you know, it’s just really solid all around, especially with all the next season’s perks like Boon, Brief Torch, all that good stuff.

Preservation has actually been on the come up. Preservation kind of pops off; throughput is really good. They do a lot of damage, they do a lot of healing, but the problem is it has no class buffs and it’s super limited by its range. It’s really annoying trying to play a bunch of casters with Preservation, but it’s a really good healer. Also, yeah, they do give a legendary which helps a lot.

Consideration of Resto Shaman and Resto Druid

Resto Shaman, I feel like it’s really not that bad. It’s definitely not great, but I think it’s better than people give it credit for. It can heal through a lot of hard fights; it’s got Lust if you ever play any of those weird non-Lust comps like Outlaw Rogue, and you know, Red Paladin and Fury Warrior, all that weird stuff. It’s pretty solid. Then, Resto Druid, I think this is going to be the best healer.

I’ll put it in the top of S tier, maybe even S+, but I don’t know if it’s quite on that level of OP. So for now, I’ll just put it in the top of S. The most important thing with Resto Druid is it brings Mark of the Wild. It’s the Mark of L spec you want to be bringing to the highest keys because it’s certainly not Boomkin or Bear Tank. But again, if they ever nerf Vengeance, or maybe nerf some of the DPS and you see Bears or Boomkins being played, then you might want another healer instead.

Strengths of Red Paladin

I would say they bring so much; they’re super easy, they’re unkillable, they do a lot of burst damage. Everyone loves Red Paladin. In fact, I would even put them in S tier. Do we put them in S tier? I feel like we probably just put them in S tier, right around Outlaw Rogue. Yeah, I’ll put it up there; it just sounds so good.

Overview of Shadow Priest and Sub Rogue

Shadow Priest is the most broken DPS in the game. It just does everything way too well; it does like crazy amounts of AOE while doing the highest priority damage. It’s got funnel too. Shadow Priest is way too good. I would even put it above Fire Mage. They need to nerf this spec ASAP. It’s also extremely tanky; you can literally Fade and Flash Dispel every single mechanic in the game, and you can just put a Power Shield on yourself for every mechanic in the game. It’s ridiculous. Sub Rogue, put in the top of A. It’s not as good as Outlaw, but it is extremely good, and it is a rogue. I mean, Rogues are always good.

Analysis of Survival and Unholy DK

Survival Hunter, honestly, I have no idea. I’ll probably just put it around Marksman; it’s probably around the same. I have no idea. Unholy DK, probably also around the same as Frost DK. Unholy DK does a ton of AOE damage, but their single target is extremely lackluster. Actually, I’m going to put it in A tier because this class is also unkillable. Anytime I play Unholy, I feel like it’s just so good for high keys that, even though the damage is lacking and no class buff, it is very good.

Evaluation of Windwalker and Augmentation

Windwalker, I’ll put either in high B or low A. I think I’ll put in low A. Pretty tanky, really solid damage across the board. It’s like one of those specs you can bring if you want to play weird comps like Windwalker, Fury Warrior, Outlaw Rogue, maybe like a Red Paladin too. And Windwalker is just a handicapped Outlaw, yeah exactly, but at least it brings a class buff. Multiple class buffs are like a pretty good thing.

Then, Augmentation, I’ll put it like right around here. I’m like super torn on Augmentation; Augmentation makes you lose damage. Augmentation is like so bad for damage, but it’s like so good for helping your team live. The problem is like they also kind of get pooped on. I honestly feel like you’re better off with Astral Lock next season, but we’ll have to see. I’ll put her like right around here for now.

Final Thoughts on Season 4 M+ Tier List

I don’t know if it’s better than Devastation or not, but for now, I’ll put it above Devastation. It’s hard to say. Yeah, I think I’m happy with this. This will be the official tier list for season 4 M plus until they do some buffs and nerfs.

Chances are, if you want to see comps, you’ll probably see like this right here as a comp, this right here as a comp, this right here as a comp, or this. These are probably the comps I would expect to see. It looks like the exact same as season 3. The only thing I would say that’s kind of new is like Devastation seems a lot better, and Bear Tank is obviously a lot better. Like before, Bear Tank was probably over here, but its tier set probably puts it up here now.

Compositional Flexibility in M+

Can you put Red Nest in S plus? Okay, here you go, take your screenshot. But for sure, like the great thing is you can actually play a bunch of different types of comps too. Like, we’ve seen other types of comps excel really hard. Look at Len’s team, for example. Len’s team—they play a banger comp.

Look at this: Arms Warrior, Red Paladin, Outlaw Rogue, and Shaman. You could probably slap a Preservation in this comp, and it’d go really well. You could also probably swap out one of these for an Enhancement Shaman, and that’d be extremely good. You could probably go like double Outlaw Rogue, and it would be really good. Like, you can make a lot of different comps work extremely well, so it’s more about the comps than the individual specs.

Key Specific Strategies

It also depends on the type of keys you’re doing, right? If you’re doing lower keys, I guarantee you’ll have higher success with this comp over this comp. Okay, maybe not necessarily this comp, but okay, maybe not this comp either.

But okay, well, not none of that cheating. Okay, just the standard comp. Like, uh, bro, why do people do this, man? We got to cut it out. They have to stop now. Stop this, just stop. Surely these guys are not cheating too, right? Okay, yeah, see, like a nice standard comp, right? Like, I guarantee if you play a comp like this in just a random pug key, it’ll probably do better than.

Analysis of PUG Performance by Class in Keys 20-25

If you were playing something like this, hard doubt, I don’t know man. I’ve done 20 to 25 keys; I’ve seen the augmentations in there, they’re called the augmentations for a reason. I’ve seen Fire Mages out of that key level, I’ve seen Shadow Priests at that key level. Now, I don’t know if this comp would be better than this comp you, a pug, because, you know, I’ve seen Red Paladins pop off in pugs. What do you guys think? On average, if you guys are in a pug, do you think these classes do better than those classes, or what? Like, I’m just talking, you know, in your 20 to 25 key pug, major a disaster 99% of the time.

Comparative Utility of Melee vs. Caster in PUGs

Yeah, that’s what I’m saying, like melees are just so much more forgiving. Melee comps way better than pugs, arms and red wolf, Lego. Yeah, exactly, you play at 3.4k, you always take red, and in key 100% of the time, Fire Mage is hard bug 28, 29’s okay, I don’t care about that, yeah, red always beats Mage and Shadow Priest.

Difficulty of Finding Groups Based on Class

Also, yeah, like imagine having a Shadow Priest kick in one of those keys. Also, here’s the other thing, like is it even easier to find a group if you’re playing Shadow Priest or Fire Mage? Like, do you actually have an easier time finding groups than like Red Paladin? Really, that’s crazy. Mages are by far the most invited classes, goddamn Mages man, if they can’t keep getting away with it.

Chad is hard copium, red is the most invital spec, it’s crazy because pug Mages are dog, but I keep inviting them. This, it sounds like an abusive relationship, it’s like I hate him, but I can’t stop going back to them, like, I just something compels you. It’s like this tier list right now is compelling me to invite every single Mage in group finder, and then when you invite the Mage, it turns out it’s Jang B. If you guys are wondering who Jang B is, this is who you’re getting in your, uh, in your B, what is going off the meters here, D. I’m telling you rep is op man, you’re telling me you’re inviting a mage over a rep pal, God damn holy rep pal gigachad.
