Greetings, adventurers! Librarian Husky here. Our class guides are structured to enhance your damage and healing in various gameplay formats, offering strategies for casters, melee, and healers. These comprehensive guides aim to empower players to thrive in the most challenging lobbies.
Warrior Performance and Expectations
While Warriors see some net gains overall, they may not ascend to S-tier status just yet. Right now, competition is stacked at the top, especially with Rogue specs performing well. Warriors face defensive issues; while more damage is helpful, they’re vulnerable to ranged attacks, which limits damage potential. Fury was incredibly overpowered at the start of this expansion, but players learned that Warriors were easy to counter, which balanced their usage. Currently, we’ll consider both Arms and Fury as wild cards—not quite S-tier but possibly A+.
Feral Druid Nerfs
The “king of the jungle” is seeing nerfs this week to Incarnation and King of the Jungle, which will now only increase movement speed and healing taken by a maximum of 9%, down from 20%. Feral Druids did receive some buffs on October 23rd, but the primary effect of these changes will be a nerf to their tankiness. While they may be more attractive targets in certain lobbies, their pressure remains strong every two minutes. We’ll keep them in the S-tier for now.
Rogue Rework and Benefits
The recent mini rework of Rogues has brought considerable benefits to both Assassination and Outlaw. There are additional changes that may also influence the Rogue’s ranking further in the tier list, depending on upcoming tweaks and adjustments.
Assassination and Outlaw Rogue in the Current Meta
With Holy Paladins seeing a potential drop in popularity, Assassination Rogues are gaining more traction, possibly positioning them to rise by half a tier. Outlaw Rogues have shown surprising viability even before the rework, and with these changes, we expect more players across different regions to start experimenting with Outlaw.

Balance Druid Tier Adjustment
Despite Balance Druids having access to double Incarnation, recent changes indicate we may have over-ranked them last week. They’re moving back to the A-tier, as their performance hasn’t met the S-tier expectations in high-level games.
Hunter Spec Adjustments
Hunter adjustments are multifaceted. Both Beast Mastery (BM) and Marksmanship are receiving notable changes, including PvP-specific nerfs to Dark Ranger. Last week, both specs suffered from bugs, but BM is emerging as the stronger Hunter spec. While Barbed Shot received a nerf, a compensating buff to Stomp boosts Call of the Wild’s burst potential. Despite the nerfs, we’re moving BM Hunter back to S-tier, as its effectiveness has proven strong in competitive lobbies.
Marksmanship Hunter Performance
Marksmanship Hunters are facing challenges, especially due to nerfs to two key Dark Ranger talents. The removal of the Overshadow buff, which previously increased Aimed Shot and Rapid Fire damage by 20%, also hinders Marksmanship. As a result, we’ll be moving Marksmanship down by half a tier, though it may still perform well in certain setups.
Potential of Sentinel and High-Tier Wild Cards
Sentinel remains a high-tier wild card. While it shows potential, it faces stiff competition from other specs in its tier, making it less consistent and less predictable in high-level performance.
Shadow Priest Nerfs
Shadow Priests are receiving nerfs to their Void Leech Hero talent and Collapsing Void, slightly reducing their durability and burst damage. Recently, Shadow Priest has been a top DPS option due to its exceptional survivability. These nerfs, combined with buffs to Warrior, will likely reduce Shadow Priest’s standing by half a tier.
Elemental Shaman Performance and Adjustments
Elemental Shaman may have been underrated previously, as it felt S+ tier even without bug adjustments. This week, Ascendance and Elemental Overload damage are getting nerfed, reducing the class’s one-shot potential. However, Overload contributes to only about 10% of Elemental’s total damage, leaving a good portion of its output intact. We expect Elemental Shaman to remain a top caster choice in the meta despite this slight downgrade.
Exciting Developments for Demonology Warlock
Demonology Warlocks are seeing substantial adjustments that may alter their impact within the meta. Dreadstalkers now have a 100% chance to generate a Demonic Core, improving gameplay fluidity. Additionally, Grimoire Felguard buffs will increase burst potential. We anticipate Demonology Warlock’s ranking to rise by half a tier or more as a result.
Buffs to Demonology Warlock
Demonology Warlocks are receiving buffs to Dreadstalkers, who now have a guaranteed chance to generate a Demonic Core, enhancing quality of life and reducing dependency on hard casting. Grimoire Felguard is also gaining a burst buff that makes the spec feel smoother to play. We expect Demonology Warlocks to climb at least half a tier in rankings.
Destruction Warlock Buffs and Tier Adjustment
Destruction Warlocks are also seeing substantial buffs, with Chaos Bolt, Immolate, and Incinerate all receiving damage increases. Destruction plays similarly to an Affliction hybrid with an instant-cast emphasis but has struggled with finishing power. These buffs may move Destruction up by half a tier, and we may see a shift in dominance from Affliction as Destruction becomes more competitive.
Updated Ranged DPS Tier List
Reflecting the competitive new meta, we’ve moved Frost Mage back to A+ tier for now, as other specs have shown greater effectiveness in Solo Shuffle. This adjustment illustrates the dynamic shifts among top-tier ranged DPS classes.
Significant Changes in the Healer Meta
Turning to healers, Mistweaver Monk gained substantial power last week and is now receiving PvE-focused buffs, including an overall 6% healing increase. This may further improve Mistweaver’s viability, cementing its place among the top healers.
Mistweaver Monk Adjustments and Tier Placement
Recent buffs have propelled Mistweaver Monk forward, but its powerful AoE healing has received a slight nerf to balance its impact. Mistweaver was seen as a wild card last week, and we’re moving it up to A+ tier. Despite its improvements, we still believe there are a couple of healers better suited to Solo Shuffle due to Mistweaver’s lack of strong cooldowns.
Discipline Priest Buffs and S-Tier Status
Discipline Priest is seeing a 20% buff to Radiance and a 15% boost to Flash Heal, balancing out minor nerfs to Premonition of Solace. Although Discipline lost its powerful cocoon ability, these healing buffs significantly enhance its quality of life, ensuring that Discipline remains solidly in the S-tier and could potentially top Solo Shuffle’s healer rankings.
Holy Priest Performance
Holy Priests received some buffs but remain underwhelming, with limited high-ranking players. Holy Priest’s low representation underscores its standing as one of the weaker healers in Solo Shuffle, with little improvement in overall performance despite these buffs.
Holy Paladin Changes and Viability
Holy Paladins, another strong healing option, have received a 10% nerf to Word of Glory. These changes impact their ranking slightly, but Holy Paladin remains a contender among healers in Solo Shuffle.

Holy Paladin Adjustments and S-Tier Position
Despite recent nerfs, Holy Paladin is still well-positioned in the S-tier. Reductions in mana regeneration and Holy Shock effectiveness impact its play but do not displace it from the top healer options.
Updates to Underperforming Healing Specs
Finally, several underperforming specs received buffs last week. Restoration Druid, predicted to be A+ tier, is moving down to A-tier after lagging behind. It gained minor buffs to Call of the Elder Druid and Dream of Cenarius, though these are mostly used in 2v2. Restoration Shaman, however, received more substantial adjustments with a 15% buff to both Healing Wave and Healing Surge, but we don’t expect a major change in its overall healer tier position.
