Farming Opportunities with Firelands Release

In Phase Three, Firelands will be released, creating an excellent gold-making opportunity. You can farm non-bound creatures either solo or in groups to potentially acquire new Bind on Equip (BoE) epic items. I expect these epics to be highly sought after, with potential selling prices exceeding 20,000 gold each. This release will also reset Valor Points, so be sure to cap out weekly on all your characters. With the weekly cap, you can purchase 378 item level BoE bracers, which could sell for between 5,000 and 10,000 gold each.

Profiting from Transmog Farming

Since the release of Cataclysm, finding valuable transmog items has become easier, with level 40-60 gear often selling for thousands of gold. Certain rare items can go for as high as 15,000 gold if they’re particularly desirable. My usual farming spot is Uldum, where I start by taking the portal and scouting for valuable drops.

I fly to AQ20, the 20-man version of the raid (not AQ40), where I target various trash creatures. These enemies have a high chance of dropping valuable green items, although not always the most expensive ones. For this method, I recommend being at least level 85, as it will make clearing creatures much easier. At lower levels, your damage output will be significantly lower, and you could risk dying if you pull too many creatures at once.

Key Tips to Maximize Efficiency

It’s crucial not to kill any bosses during your run, as defeating a boss will lock you out of resetting the trash mobs. During my first attempt, I was fortunate to acquire an epic item—the Skullflame Shield, worth over 10,000 gold. The chances of this drop are slim, but persistence can pay off. Additionally, be sure to eliminate neutral creatures; some of them drop Vanguard items, which can sell for more than 3,000 gold each.

Using Secondary Accounts for Extra Resources

For those with a second, inactive account, consider submitting a ticket on your main account to request a one-day subscription. I used this method and discovered numerous valuable items, including shirts on low-level bank characters as mentioned earlier. If you have an extra account or even a third, try this strategy to check for anything useful to transfer to your main account.
