Hey, how’s it going, guys? Librarian Husky here, back with another Palworld article. This guide covers each type and mainly discusses using it in your party but can also be applied generally in your base for raid bosses. With pals, player damage can often be superior, and there are still some effective ways to maximize your power.
Fire Types
Now, my go-to is Blaz Mut. I use Blaz Mut here because he has really good fire attacks, and when you are riding him, you enhance fire attacks, which just gives him really good attack power when you are on him, making him reach some higher peaks. Also, very similar is the German type Ignis and Blazer M Ru. German tide Ignis is basically just going to be fruits or skill fruits because I don’t think he has any dedicated good fire skills, so you just kind of add stuff on. What I like to use is Fireball on impact and Flame ball on Blaz, but you can also use some other stuff like flare storm which.
Advanced Tactics for Derti Ignis
I do have on my Derti Ignis with Flar Storm, and then I like to use Seed Mine. This will help keep enemies in place and then your fire attacks will deal double damage as well, making it amazing for that to have going on. I don’t have it on my Blaz M right now, but I will have it on, and then also you have Blaze Up Rio, which you can just put on a bunch of fire attacks, basically just the same as regular Blaz M except when mounted, you aren’t doing the fire attacks. That’s why I mainly prefer Blazer Mut. German tide can also do the fire attacks while mounted, but Blut has his own special Braun impact attack, so I much more prefer this one. Both, I guess all three are really good.
Dragon Types Strategy
Now, I guess since M Blaz them up right, I’ll just go into the dragon types. This is the best dragon type that I’ve found. The main reason for this is because it is Dragon plus a different element and dragon attacks boosted while mounted. Mounted isn’t the main thing you look for, but it is really nice, so if you want to spam your attack War, you can get on your pal, do attacks manually, and then it will do its own attacks automatically on a separate cooldown. We have that going. You cannot boost Dragon PALS like you can with these different types of Pals, so you want to have a second element, and Blaz Rayu has fire.
There are other ones like Aagon, but I really like BL Ru and also has Magna Crash, which is or Magna Crush which is its own skill. This is why I don’t have something like Jragon up here even though it has a really high attack; it just can’t be boosted like Blma Rayu can. I also like to use Beam Slicer and Comet Strike. There’s also a Blast Cannon you can use and probably a couple other ones, and then for normal type Sine is insane. It boosts normal type attacks from mounted.

Bug Alert in Elemental Attacks
This is bugged; it says fire but it actually does normal and dark attacks. You could go with dark stuff, but this just has really, really good normal attacks like Air Blade, Holy Burst, Star Mine. I really like Moonlight Beam; it’s really fun. Star Mine is insane and so really good to get that. You could mess with this with dark, but there are just some stronger dark pals which I’ll go over now.
Options in Dark Elementals
For dark, we actually have three options here, all for different reasons. Bellor Leiro might be the best one just because of the attack spam it can do. We have Siren of the Void here instead of Legend, which you’ll notice on other things because you cannot breed or roll Legend onto B Noir Lairo, but what it has here is Nightmare Bloom which is insane; it does big attacks. Then you also have its own partner skill for Nightmare Bloom, so you can have this going, and then it can do Nightmare Bloom and then it can do like Flame and Nightmare ball as well as Apocalypse and just other skills you want, so that’s just really good there.
Frost Helion’s Unique Capability
Then you have Frost Helion Knock. What I really like about this is that it can have dark attack boosted, so just like with other stuff I said before, this will boost dark attack. That is just really strong, and it’s a legendary. It doesn’t have any exclusive skills except for Frost Stallions’ Exis Scale which is ice, so I don’t use it here.
Misclassification of Elemental Attacks
This is bugged; it says fire but it actually performs normal and dark attacks. Although you could opt for dark, this creature boasts some very effective normal attacks like Air Blade, Holy Burst, and Star Mine. I particularly enjoy Moonlight Beamβit’s quite fun. Star Mine is phenomenal, making it a worthy addition. While you could experiment with this using dark, there are stronger dark pals available, which I will discuss next.
Diverse Dark Elemental Options
For dark elementals, we have three distinct options, each valuable for different reasons. Bellor Leiro might stand out as the best due to its ability to spam attacks. Unlike the typical Legendary breeds, Siren of the Void is used here instead because you cannot breed or roll Legend onto B Noir Lairo. What it brings to the table is Nightmare Bloom, an incredible skill that delivers powerful attacks. Additionally, it pairs with its own partner skill for Nightmare Bloom, enabling a sequence where it can launch Nightmare Bloom followed by Flame and Nightmare Ball, along with Apocalypse and other desired skills, making it extremely potent.
Frost Helion’s Special Abilities
Then there is Frost Helion Knock, which I find particularly intriguing due to its ability to boost dark attacksβsimilar to other enhancements I’ve mentioned earlier, this trait significantly strengthens its dark attacks and it is legendary. It lacks exclusive skills except for Frost Stallions’ Exis Scale, which is ice-based, so I tend not to use it here.
Shadow Beak’s Enhanced Attacks
Lastly, Shadow Beak also stands out as exceptional. It enhances dark attacks but is particularly notable for its Divine Disaster skill, which is incredibly effective. With two instances of this exclusive skill activated at level 55, Divine Disaster becomes even more formidable, delivering substantial damage.
Strategic Utilization of Nolam and Knam
We have Nolam, and Knam is just insane in general because of its partner skill, which makes it exceptionally effective for regular party dynamics. Maybe less so if you’re using it with a base, but it will significantly increase the attack and defense, by about 200%. I don’t know where it fits in the damage formula, but it considerably boosts damage, making it hugely beneficial. You’ll see I have two of them here in this box; that’s because when you are using these guys, you’re going to want to have two.
One will be maxed out so when you have Knam’s skill active, it’ll run through, and then you swap to the other Knam, have its skill active, it’ll go through, and by that second time, it will have the first Knam’s ability cooldown ready. Then, you just rinse and repeat this amazing cycle. You’ve got amazing skills like Rock Burst, Ground Cutter, and Sand Twister, as well as Rock Lance. You can even get Holy Burst on there; you can just get anything on it.
Special Mention: Anubis
And then, I’ll just give a shout-out to Anubis, just because it has a higher base attack here, though not better skills, and it’s still very decent. I do like it in pobox. So, I just thought I’d mention it there. But Nolam, I feel, just looks cooler and performs better.
Grass Type Tactics: Lilene and Warc
For the grass type, you have Lilene or Warc. I really like Lilene here for the Bountiful Protection it offers, which will heal Lilene, and because of our cooldown, it’s cut in half, making it a lot quicker. Then you have Lilene also healing you with skills like Solar Blast, Circle Vines, Vine Bind, and also Seed Mine, just to stop your enemies there, and it’s very spammable. Then you have Warc here for being a bit tankier and increasing your defense, which is really nice. Circle Vine, Solar Blast, Seed Mine, and it also has good ground attacks.
Ice Type Strategy
If you want as well, for the ice type, which is pretty unmatched competitively, consider Pro Stallionβtruly insane stuff. It’s equipped with Crystal Wing, which includes Great Blizzard, Spike Diamond Rain. I had to secure a pal fruit for this, but it notably increases ice attacks when mounted. While you cannot equip Holy Burst on this guy, nor on Frost Stallion or Bellor BL, everyone else should be able to acquire it. Nevertheless, it still possesses great ice attacks, making it a formidable choice.
Electrical Attack Techniques
For the electric attack, Orer stands out with some insane attacks like Curano and Polyus, as well as the basics like Lightning Bolt, Try Lightning, and Lightning Strikeβall very effective. These attacks are particularly advantageous against groups of enemies hitting multiple times. Additionally, we have Acid Rain here to apply soap, which increases our electric attacks, a very effective strategy. I do have Eternal Flame on this Orz Zerk, primarily because it offers a 30% lightning attack bonus and there’s no other way of boosting electric damage. However, you can also use Impatient, which is still really good for spamability, increasing from 30% to around 50%, making it very effective.
Water Type Maneuvers
For the water type, consider German Tide. I’m missing, I think, the Wall Splash attack on thisβI need a skill fruitβbut you still have really good options like Splash, Hydro Laser, and Aqua Burst. See the TR Lightning for electrifying enemiesβjust a very effective attack and very easy to acquire from the Alpha place, making it very accessible here. It’s an amazing attack strategy, and I love using it for Blaz Rayu’s first phase. I’ll also do some mentions on some other stuff.

Limited Effectiveness of Certain Elemental Attacks
Though not particularly powerful, Dinum Lux does have its moments, mainly due to its ability to boost electric attacks. It has a very low base attack, but the electric boost helps somewhatβthough only when mounted, making it less effective elsewhere. It also lacks exclusive skills, similar to Ozerk Suzaku Aqua, which focuses on water attacks without any specific advantages. Both German Tide and Suzaku Aqua lack exclusive abilities, but German Tide has a higher attack while Suzaku Aqua offers an increase in water elements, which is beneficial only if sticking to water skills.
Grass and Dragon Type Considerations
Turning to the grass type, Wver Ban enhances grass attacks but only offers basic skills with no exclusives, similar to what you find with Lyine. It’s decent but primarily useful now. You could also use this as a dragon pal, but it’s nowhere near as effective as Blaz Rayu, which benefits from the dragon plus a second stat and a variety of dragon attacks. While not mentioned, there are legends like Tragon Necris and Patus that are still good but not optimal due to specific boosts which may not always be beneficial. Things might change, but for now, they are still very usable.
