“Increased Item Quantity” (“IIQ”) boosts the total number of items dropped from monsters, chests, and league content. It’s a loot multiplier, not a quality enhancer. Unlike “IIR” (“Increased Item Rarity”), which affects how rare the items are, IIQ just increases how many drop—common or otherwise.

Functionality

IIQ applies to the drop count. If a monster normally drops 3 items, 50% IIQ might bump that up to 4 or 5. It doesn’t change item tiers or rarity. It used to be central to “Magic Find” builds, which focused on stacking IIQ and IIR for loot-maximizing efficiency.

Sources of IIQ

IIQ no longer exists on gear. It still appears in:

  • Map Mods: Some maps roll with flat IIQ bonuses.
  • League Mechanics: Certain events or challenges temporarily boost IIQ.
  • Party Play: More players = more drops. Acts as a pseudo-IIQ mechanic.

Current Relevance

IIQ is still critical in mapping and currency farming. Players rely on IIQ from map rolls and group bonuses to scale loot output. Direct stacking is gone, but it remains integral for volume-based farming strategies.
