Welcome back guys, It’s Librarian Husky. With the release of Act 2, I present to you the Prismatic Warlock build that has become a monster thanks to the latest buffs. Here I present to you my Prismatic Warlock build with Ignition that will sizzle the entire battlefield. Believe me, you will not want to go back to a pure sun warlock after this.

Infinite Ignitions and Scorch Damage

With this setup, you’ll have infinite Ignitions that deal massive amounts of Scorch damage. You’ll experience 100% uptime on Devour, which gives you your entire health back and fuels your grenade spam even more.

Constant Amplified Effects

Constant Amplified effects will provide even more damage reduction, radiant and restoration, and a near-infinite loop of super and Transcendence thrown into the mix for a seamless experience.

Non-Exotic Class Item Requirement

The best thing about this build is that it does not require an exotic class item. You’ll be able to experience the full power of this build without relying on any RNG.

Core Exotic Items

At the heart of this build are two exotic items that synergize together perfectly. The first is the Exotic hand cannon Ariana’s Vow. Ariana’s Vow was reworked recently so that now if it breaks an anti-barrier shield or a Solar shield, it will instantly cause an Ignition.

Buffs and Enhancements

Not only that, but with Act Two, Ariana’s Vow got a direct buff with a massive 67% damage increase against barrier shields. So, in harder content, it’s now going to be able to one-tap barrier shields and instantly cause an Ignition.

Autoloading Holster Catalyst

Remember, the catalyst for Ariana’s Vow gives it an autoloading holster, meaning you’re going to be able to pull out this weapon, not worry about reloading it, and deal with an anti-barrier shield instantly.

Big Buffs in Act 2

The other big buff to this setup in Act 2 is that we now have a new row of artifact perks, and there’s a perk here called Solar Fulmination, which is going to increase Ignition damage and the radius of your Ignition blast, meaning this setup is just going to get even stronger.

Exotic Warlock Helmet: Dawn Chorus

We then pair this with the Exotic Warlock helmet Dawn Chorus. Dawn Chorus provides a whopping 200% damage increase to your scorch ticks. With this build and Ariana’s Vow, you’re going to be causing constant Ignitions, so the amount of damage over time you’re going to inflict is significant.

Melee Ability Regeneration

Dawn Chorus also provides you with 5% melee ability regeneration for every tick of scorch, which is going to be really helpful, as I’ll explain a little later. The rest of our build is going to focus on generating even more Ignitions to spread even more scorch to the battlefield.

Helion Aspect

Remember, the aim is to stack 100 scorch onto enemies quickly to trigger that Ignition. Our first aspect is Helion, whereby when you use your class ability, it will summon a solar buddy which shoots solar projectiles that spread even more scorch onto enemies. Helion applies 30 scorch per hit within a 4-meter radius, so this alone will cause a lot of Ignitions.

Incinerator Snap

Dawn Chorus also boosts Helion’s Scorch damage as well. On top of this, we have our melee ability Incinerator Snap, which creates five projectiles, each applying 20 scorch. So if all five projectiles hit one enemy, that’s instantly going to trigger an Ignition.

Second Aspect: Feed the Void

Our second aspect is Feed the Void, whereby any ability kill will activate Devour. With Feed the Void, Devour is enhanced, so you get double the healing and double the amount of grenade regeneration per kill.

Scorch and Chain Lightning

Are you spreading scorch in the battlefield? You’ll also cause jolt and spread chain lightning using an arc ability within the build. Then, getting multi-kills with it lets us become Amplified, which means we can use the Galvanic Armor artifact perk to gain a nice 30% damage reduction, enhancing our survivability even more on top of the Devour healing.

Multiple Sources of Healing

If that wasn’t enough survivability, we have two sources of healing within the build. Our class ability, Phoenix Dive, instantly cures us for some health whenever we use it. Additionally, we get restoration thanks to Facet of Purpose, where anytime we pick up an orb of power, we get the restoration buff.

Super and Artifact Perks

Thanks to S Flame being the super we use, and S of Flame being a solar super, whenever we pick up an orb of power, we also gain the radiant buff, which is a nice 20% damage buff. Our super is Song of Flame, which hurls tons of solar projectiles and gives you a massive amount of damage reduction when you use it.

Constant Ignitions and Increased Damage

All these projectiles will cause constant ignitions, benefiting from Dawn Chorus‘s increased Scorch damage and the artifact perks with Act Two. This super is going to feel a lot better now. Our remaining artifact perks are the icing on the cake for the build.

Boosting Solar Ignition

Facet of Ruin boosts our solar Ignition radius, which stacks with the artifact perk Facet of Balance. It helps us regenerate our melee Incinerator Snap very quickly because we cause a ton of solar damage within the build.

Facet of Sacrifice

It’s okay if we don’t have a ton of darkness damage in the build for grenade energy because we already have Devour doing the heavy lifting there. Our last fragment is Facet of Sacrifice, whereby ability final blows, whenever we have something like Amplified, Radiant, Devour, or Restoration active.

Maximizing Darkness Energy

Which is pretty much 100% of the time within this build. We gain bonus Darkness energy, helping us reach Transcendence for even more ability spam. Now, I know what some of you are thinking: isn’t this going to be better with solar fragments in a pure Solar Warlock build?

Testing Prismatic vs. Pure Solar

Well, after testing both setups, I found the Prismatic one was way better. Missing out on Devour, Amplified, and Transcendence was just too much, and I didn’t really notice the lack of Ember of Ashes with Prismatic, which is one thing I was worried about.

Benefits of Prismatic Build

Nor did I notice the lack of Ember of Benevolence, as I was getting my abilities back really fast with Prismatic. Anyway, let’s go over my armor mods. The focus here is to generate ability energy through a variety of methods.

Helmet Mods

On my helmet, I run one Harmonic Siphon so Ariana’s Vow kills can also generate orbs of power, and one Strand Siphon because the second weapon I pair with this build is the Call. I also run one Dynamo mod to generate more super ability whenever I use Phoenix Dive.

Gloves Mods

On my gloves, I run a variety of mods. Here, I run one Font of Vigor; this boosts our strength stat by 30 when we have armor charge, which is nice because we can then get away with a lower strength stat within the build. I also have Momentum Transfer so that we can gain more melee ability energy when we cause damage with a grenade, and one Bolstering Detonation so we can gain class ability energy when we cause damage with a grenade.

Boot Mods and Ability Synergy

On my boots, I had one Absolution and one Insulation to reduce class ability energy and one copy of Recuperation for more instant health regeneration when using my class ability. Recuperation pairs really well with one of my class item mods, Powerful Attraction. Whenever I used Phoenix Dive, it would instantly collect any nearby orbs, meaning we could sometimes get our entire health back thanks to Cure, Recuperation, and Restoration all stacking from that orb pickup.

Generating More Orbs

We also run one copy of Reaper so we can generate more orbs after using Phoenix Dive and then one copy of Bomber for a little bit more grenade energy. If you are using a double special ammo setup like I am, then you could switch out Bomber for Special Ammo Finisher.

Weapon Pairing and Strand Damage

I did actually really enjoy using the cool rocket sidearm with this setup because a little bit more strand damage really helps with the DoN portion of our Transcendence energy.

Stat Distribution

In terms of stat distribution, the number one stat priority is 100 Resilience for that 30% damage reduction. Then you want 100 Discipline, which combined with Devour, will help you spam your storm grenade more often for more Amplified uptime. Finally, aim for strength; we can get away with a lower strength stat because Dawn Chorus provides melee energy, our armor mods provide melee energy, and our fragments also provide melee energy.

Artifact Perks and Ability Enhancements

You’re running Radiant Orbs, Galvanic Armor, and Shield Crush because you’re going to be Amplified and Radiant within this ability. Your grenade is going to recharge faster and deal more damage, and you can run Transcendence on top for more grenade and melee damage with the new Artifact perks.

Optimizing Artifact Perks

What I would do is take away Void Hedony here on the second to last column and place it in Solar Fulmination so you can take advantage of those improved ignitions.
