What’s up Guardians, Librarian Husky here. Thanks for checking out the article. When the second episode of Eko launches this week, players will have three new Seasonal Weapons to farm for, and all three of these weapons look to be pretty stacked. We’ll be getting the Perfect Paradox shotgun, the Kian Pulse Rifle, and the Aberrant Action rocket sidearm.

Weapon Traits and Availability

The Aberrant Action and Kian Pulse Rifle will share the same Radiolarian Transposer origin trait as the other Vex-themed weapons do, but the Perfect Paradox will have the Cast No Shadows. These weapons will be available as random rewards through the seasonal activities, and they can be focused through Fail Safe at the HELM.

Craftable Weapons

Only two of these will be craftable: the Aberrant Action and the Kian. To save you time when jumping into the new activities, we’re going to go over an early preview of the best PVE God Rolls that you’ll need to keep an eye out for.

Focus on Kian Arc Pulse Rifle

We start with the Kian Arc pulse rifle. This is a heavy burst pulse rifle, so it’ll perform more closely to the Graviton Lance or the Revision Zero than it will any other legendary pulse rifle. It fires out a two-burst round at 395 rounds per minute. It has exceptional range, and for a heavy burst pulse rifle, it has decent stability and handling.

Recommended Perks

With the right combination of barrels and magazines, you can max out this weapon’s range, but I would recommend focusing more towards this weapon’s handling and its reload speed. When it comes to its third and fourth column perks, the Kian has some amazing combinations. In its third column, we get High Impact Reserves, and this is an interesting perk to see in the third column.

Damage Increase Mechanics

This increases your damage as you get deeper into your magazine. This starts as a 12% increase in damage but maxes out at 25%. This weapon only has 20 rounds in the magazine, which means that the bonus damage would kick in once you’re down to 10 rounds. With a backup mag and an extended mag, you’d be able to bump this magazine up to over 30 rounds, causing High Impact Reserves to kick in with the 15th bullet, substantially increasing the amount of damage that you’d be able to deal.

Additional Perks for Crucible

We also get perpetual motion and enlightened action, which would be more beneficial in The Crucible. Perfect float and Air trigger are pretty subpar traits, but we do have pugilist, which is a great utility perk. Outside of High Impact Reserves, the only other trait that I’m really excited about with this weapon is Eddie current. This will greatly improve the reload speed and the handling of this weapon after sprinting or when Amplified, which would see this pairing up great with Prismatic or Arc builds.

Adjustments and Fourth Column Traits

This just saw adjustments to its performance at the beginning of Final Shape, so it’s much more reliable now. With fa shot as an available fourth column trait, you’d have an easy time maintaining those Amplified Buffs. You’d be able to stun overload Champions, and you’d melt right through groups of enemies with those insane surges of lightning. This is most definitely the combination that I’ll be going after.

Additional Damage Perks

There’s also focused fury, swashbuckler, frenzy, and one for all, which would all serve as great damage perks, especially when alongside High Impact Reserves. High Ground is also another available damage perk, but it’s one that I’m not as big of a fan of. Finally, Eye of the Storm would be another great perk for Crucible. With the unique combination of perks that this two-round burst pulse rifle offers, along with the fact that it’s craftable, this will definitely be a must-have weapon.

Aberrant Action Overview

We have the Aberrant Action. This will be the first and possibly the only ever solar rocket sidearm. This solar sidearm is built just like the Call and Indebted Kindness in almost every single way until it comes down to its third and fourth column traits. This weapon is stacked with some great combinations for both PVE and Crucible.

Third Column Traits

We have Ambitious Assassin, Threat Detector, Beacon Rounds, Field Prep, Pugilist, and Strategist. It’s a great lineup, but the top dog is Heal Clip. Kill an enemy and reload, and you and nearby allies get Health Restoration. It’s pretty freaking sweet and easy to maintain when you have a weapon that will one-shot red bars.

Fourth Column Traits

In the fourth column, we have Swashbuckler, Golden Tricorn, and Harmony as available damage perks. There’s also Reverberation, which will increase this weapon’s blast radius after final blows. This could result in a substantial increase in damage, but it’s not yet been tested. This leaves Incandescent as the supreme fourth column trait because this is going to spread scorch across your targets, leading to ignitions.

Artifact Mods and Synergy

Because of the Solar Fulmination artifact mod, ignitions are going to deal much more damage to a much larger radius. So, the combination of Incandescent and Heal Clip will be even more powerful. And now, we move on to the Perfect Paradox.

Perfect Paradox Overview

This was one of my absolute favorite shotguns back in the day. It was never the strongest because of its low range, but damn, was it fast. This new version comes with some extremely provocative perks. This will continue to be a kinetic rapid-fire shotgun with a base magazine size of seven, getting launched out at 140 rounds per minute with the combination of a range Masterwork, Smooth Bore, and Accurized Rounds.

Range and Impact Improvements

You’re giving this weapon a 35-point increase in range, bringing you up to 67 range with 65 impact on a rapid-fire shotgun, which is pretty freaking sweet. What makes it even better is that this comes with a Cast No Shadows origin trait. When you damage an enemy with your melee, you’ll load up to two rounds straight from your reserves directly into your magazine.

Third Column Traits

In its third column, the Perfect Paradox will offer Threat Remover, Dual Loader, Field Prep, and Threat Detector, all of which will improve the performance of this weapon’s reloading. There’s also Pugilist, which would pair up great with any build focused around melee use. The perk that I’m most excited to see is Slide Shot because when we slide, we’re refilling a portion of the magazine.

Reload and Passive Magazine Refills

This shotgun already has great reload speed, and there’s no way to overflow the magazine, so I feel less inclined to devote a perk towards reloading. I’d much rather have something that passively reloads the magazine for me. In its fourth column, this weapon offers Barrel Constrictor, One-Two Punch, Vorpal, Opening Shot, Swashbuckler, and Trench Barrel.

Fourth Column Perks and Their Benefits

You’ll find more benefit with Opening Shot, Barrel Constrictor, and Swashbuckler when going into The Crucible. But it’s One-Two Punch, Trench Barrel, and Vorpal that are more exciting prospects for PVE. All three of these are amazing damage perks, but it’s One-Two Punch and Trench Barrel that I think will have more of an impact with this shotgun because both of these play off of your melee abilities, giving either your melee an increase in damage or the weapon.

Synergy with Cast No Shadows Origin Trait

That’s going to be able to play right into the Cast No Shadows origin trait. Either of these perks would benefit from the use of Pugilist way more so than Slide Shot. Which damage perk do you prefer?
