Yo, my friends, what is going on? Welcome back. It’s Librarian Husky. There is one more weapon from Destiny 2, Episode 1: Echoes, that we need to take a look at because it is very unique.

Weapon Overview

Now you may have guessed it by now, but the weapon we are looking at is the Time Wayfarer. This is a unique entry into the relatively new Aggressive Frame Sky Rifle family. What makes this weapon truly unique, and you may have already noticed it by now, is the sight on this gun. Up until now, all 120 Scout Rifles have had iron sights, whereas this one comes with a pretty hefty Scope, and that really does change the game for this weapon type, in my opinion.

Aesthetic Appeal

Forget the perks for a moment and let’s just talk pure aesthetics. This gun looks absolutely beautiful. Just look at this thing; it is so striking. This gun is giving me Mandalorian vibes—you know what I’m saying? This is the way, my friends. This is the way.

Technical Specifications

I seem to have a fixed roll here, so I’m not sure if this is a curated roll or a starter roll for this weapon. It comes with a chamber compensator and steady rounds, so you’ve got relatively high stability for this archetype. Then, it has a range masterwork.

Special Features

We have dual loader which reloads an additional shot at a time, which isn’t that bad of a perk for this weapon. Then we have Precision Instrument: dealing sustained damage increases precision damage. And finally, we have rapid final blows cause targets to explode in a pool of Radiolorian fluid.

Unique Weapon Features

I noticed that this seemed to cause a solar explosion; perhaps it’s because it’s a solo weapon. The stacks on this thing are impressive, though I’m not entirely sure. Before we delve deeper, I do want to give you a few perk recommendations. In one column, we have “The Pain,” a very good perk where taking damage increases handling and aim assist. “Keep Away” is one of the best perks available, and then there’s “Heal Clip.” In another column, you have choices like “Snapshot,” “Stone Opening Shot,” “Precision Instrument,” “Desperate Measures.” If I were to craft this gun, I would focus on accuracy, perhaps choosing “Keep Away” and “Opening Shot” or “The Pain” and “Opening Shot” for a very strong consistency roll.

Into the Gameplay

Oh, holy moly, it’s full Space Cowboy time, my friends! Cowboy Bebop vibes—if there was a gun in the game from that show, this might be it. It’s so futuristic yet cowboy-like because obviously, you’ve got that DM firing mechanism. But then, we just borrowed a little optic from a Hobgoblin that we found on the ground. We battered a Hobgoblin, stole his sight, plunked it on this gun, and pop, pop, bang! It is absolutely beautiful. I’m really enjoying using this gun so far.

Combat Dynamics

This guy is not enjoying getting punched in the face, and this guy needs to pay more attention because the Wayfarer is in town, my friends, and it is not taking any prisoners whatsoever. And he just found out the hard way. Triple colony to the toes—what a way to go! That will hurt, my friends. That’ll leave a mark, you know what.

Strategic Advantages

I’m saying he might need to buy a new pair of trainers in the morning. Anyway, there are some really nice sidelines on this map that are built for this weapon. You can really start popping in some nice shots with this gun. Of course, like I said, this is the first 120. Wow, he’s fuming—murder on the dance floor, my friend. Right there, there was a murder on the dance floor; we need to solve the mystery right now. Absolutely sensational stuff.

Weapon Uniqueness

Like I said, this is truly unique—the first 120 Scout rifle to come with a Scope. He just came at me with a rocket and traded. What a weasel! And it genuinely might seem like a small thing, but it changes the game for this weapon archetype, in my opinion. It’s easy to sleep on these guns, these Scout Rifles.

Combat Mastery

Speaking of sleeping, this hammer slept on this axe, and let’s just say I put him to bed and tucked him in. That, my friends, is how you do it. Bad boy from another land, far from here. Absolutely sensational work, axing the hammer to bits. And here we go, we got another axe, and we are going to absolutely fit—okay, if I speak, I’ll be in big trouble, guys.

Server Challenges

The Destiny servers—listen, if I speak on the Destiny servers, I will be suspended; that’s all I can say about that. Speaking of which, he’s in big trouble, mate. Listen, you got to respect the Wayfarer. Hey, Golden Gun, mate, this is not the way. You’re in big trouble, and so are you. Osto Andy, bang! The void shield into the slug shotgun, that, my friends, will happen sometimes. Absolutely sensational stuff; we’re about to do something here about to sacrifice ourselves for freedom, my friends. Here we go!

Gameplay Insights

In our next game, because we got Distant Shw, which is very friendly for this weapon, I’ve got a few kills here that will really show you exactly how crispy this gun is at range. You can really just pop shots from basically any distance—it could be 50 m away, they could be 60 m away, or just 10 m like that. They’re in big trouble. Look at this, absolutely crispy work. Precision Instrument means you basically never have to hit three crits with this gun; just hit a few crits, maybe one, maybe two, and a body shot will do the rest, and it makes the gun so versatile.

Weapon Performance at Range

It’s very forgiving, having this forgiveness at this distance, which is pretty nice. I’m not going to lie, those other 120 Scouts, they all have iron sights, and while they might hit at the same range as this weapon, it’s just flat out harder to acquire your target with an iron sight from these kinds of distances. But with this, as you can see, you can just cover all angles, my friends. If the Scout rifle’s not going to do it, the Sharon will get it done.

Precision and Efficiency

Look at this, absolutely crispy, hitting those Precision Instrument crits, pop pop, back on the floor, done, end of. You just got shappy to the face, and we pulled out our old Storm Chaser. It’s a PVE roll, it is a linear fusion rifle, and let me tell you, it’ll get the job done 60% of the time, every time. If that won’t do it, a flaming knee to the face will.

Unconventional Combat

And then I traded with an axe. Have you ever seen that before? That’s the first axe-axe kill. Then we went and picked up our axe up from the ground first, and uh, we made the most of it, my friends, we made the most of it. Sneaky little dub, this little guy? I don’t think so.
