Understanding Dungeon Changes and Tips
So, I don’t know what new changes are coming to the dungeon that can impact some of the tips I give you. But nonetheless, to start off with the first encounter, you’re able to use your sparrow, but it may not be in your best interest to use it if you’re in the ultimated mode since it is easier for the enemies to kill you. Also, throughout the entire first encounter, you need to look out for the fireflies that will randomly spawn out of nowhere. It will probably insta-kill you. So, make sure to put on max resil and resist mods.
Key Strategies for Survival
So, I don’t know what new changes are coming to the dungeon that can impact some of the tips I give you. Encounter Guide for Ogre Encounter
So, a quick guide for this encounter. It’s basically just to look for the ogre to reveal the way forward. Once you kill it, just follow the green traces on the ground. Each path will lead you to a floating hive room with enemies that spawn there. There will be three spots on every path and the last spot will always spawn a hive light barrier.
Navigation and Enemy Spawns
This encounter involves locating the ogre to progress. Eliminate it and track the green trails to floating hive rooms where enemies emerge. Expect three points along each path, with the final one generating a hive light barrier.
Completing the Encounter
But before you crush the ghost, make sure to remember the room because it will despawn and it could mess up and slow your run. So once you get back to the ritual location, kill the wizard to get deep sight and deposit the light buff you got from crushing the ghost to the rune that matches the one that you should have remembered. And then to complete the encounter, you need to deposit four of these runes. And I might be wrong, but the change for this encounter may be a countdown timer that wipes your team if you don’t complete it before it gets to zero. But of course, we’ll see what the change is tomorrow if there is any.
Tips for Navigating the Jumping Puzzle
As for the first jumping puzzle after the first encounter, a tip here is throughout this is to make sure that you jump through the wires for the easiest path. And once you get to this part here after the first big drop through the tube when you’re underwater, you can take this big shortcut off to the right of the platform and you’re able to drop all the way down to the end and skip most of the tedious and slow part of the puzzle. Just make sure to communicate with your team when to grab the air bubble at the bottom. And also do note that the air bubbles do have a radius when it pops, so you don’t have to be right on top of your teammate to use it. Another tip is that the water does in fact keep your momentum.
Communication and Coordination
When navigating the jumping puzzle, effective communication and coordination with your team are crucial. Ensure that you work together to optimize your path and utilize shortcuts. Remember to grab air bubbles strategically, considering their radius upon popping. Additionally, leverage the water to maintain your momentum throughout the puzzle.
Speedrunning Techniques
So for those speedrunners out there that use eager edge, swinging before going into the water carries that momentum as you can see here.
First Boss Encounter
So now on to the first boss. This is an ad-dense encounter, so make sure to bring good ad clear builds paired with DPS weapons. For example, warlocks with sunracers, titans with synth builds, and hunters with. Anyway, for this encounter, it’s better to have two people up top killing ads and one person underwater finding the symbols that match the three symbols on the hanging plates.
Activating Symbols and Starting the Encounter
Once the person activates a symbol underwater, it will spawn a wizard up top. Kill it to get the vestige of light buff and deposit it at the totems. Getting all three totems lit will start the damage phase. In the middle where you started the encounter, there will be a knight that spawns and killing it would drop a damaged puddle. And while in the puddle, you can take down the boss shield.
Defeating the Boss and Progressing
After removing the boss shield, focus on dealing damage until the boss is defeated. Coordinate with your team to manage any additional mechanics that arise during this phase. Once the boss is down, the encounter is complete, and you can claim your rewards. Remember to communicate effectively and adapt your strategy as needed to overcome challenges.
Optimal Strategies for Boss Encounters
Back then, Arbolus was such a good weapon for these boss encounters since it could take down the shield in one shot, but it isn’t what it used to be, and now it takes it down in two, and it’s not worth using and taking up your exotic slot. So, it’s much better to just use their damage supers like Te Crash, Nova Bomb, or Gathering Storm to take down the shield.
Recommended Weapons and Supers
As for weapons, in my opinion, Lament might be the safest option for the hardest difficulty due to the healing you get from hitting the boss. But other options you can use are Lord of the Wolves, Microcasm, obviously, Queen Breakers with Well, and Storm’s Keep for the most total damage. And last, but not least, we have the most annoying dungeon boss encounter.
Encounter Refresher for Hive Guardian Encounter
But just to give you a quick refresher of this encounter, first you need to use a deep sight to see the green beams form a triangle. Kill the hive knights at each of the three green circles. Then aim through the small green circles at the right angle to spawn the runes at each location. And then go into any of the three side caves to kill the hive guardian to receive the light buff. And make sure to remember which rune you saw in the cave to match it with the deposit location.
Steps for Completing the Encounter
To complete the Hive Guardian encounter, start by utilizing your sharp vision to observe the formation of a triangular pattern with green beams. Take down the hive knights positioned at the three green circles. Align your aim through the small green circles correctly to activate the runes at their respective spots. Venture into any of the three side caves to eliminate the hive guardian and gain the light buff. Remember the rune observed inside the cave to correspond with the deposit location.
Guide for Defeating Arbolus in the Dungeon
And once all three are deposited, damage phase will start. Once again, Arbolus is not needed. So just use Queen Breakers or Microcosm to take down the shield. I wanted to put this article out there before tomorrow to help those that are new to the dungeon and those that may not remember the mechanics and can use a refresher in some of the tips that they might not know about. But I would like to give credit to my friend Arrow as he taught me some of these tips and he also solo follows this and has good knowledge about the dungeon.
