Hello, Guardians! Librarian Husky here, and today we’re diving into the newly updated Garden of Salvation raid. With the release of Episode Revenants, the raid weapons now come with fresh perk combinations and crafting options, and as of November 5th, the secret chest can finally drop raid weapons along with armor! This is fantastic news for solo players and anyone struggling to find raid groups during quieter times in the Destiny content cycle.
Today, I’ll walk you through how to get up to six chances at free red border raid weapons each week. Let’s make the most of these changes and make your path to crafted weapons as smooth as possible!
First Raid Chest: An Accessible Weekly Opportunity
The first raid chest is the most accessible one on a weekly basis, and it’s extremely easy to acquire once you know where to go. Start by loading into the raid, and once you reach the first encounter, head past the floating Harpy and climb into the tree. From there, simply jump across the gap using either Strand or an eager edge sword, aiming for the ledge on the other side of the cliff. Push forward and make your way across.

Reaching the End of the First Encounter
At the conclusion of the first encounter, you’ll reach the end of the field, where you have two options: either sword-fly across to the ledge or climb up the right-hand side, depending on your preference. Once you reach the square platform, double-jump forward into the nearby flowers, taking you out of bounds. It may take a few attempts, but with persistence, you should squeeze through without issue.
Moving Out of Bounds and Triggering the Load Zone
After reaching the flowers, head left and jump to the next platform, switching to Salvation’s Grip. Drop down to the corner to trigger the undergrowth load zone. You’ll notice a slight screen hitch indicating the load zone activation. At this point, aim to kill yourself with the grenade launcher before hitting the ground. If done correctly, this will respawn you in the next encounter. If the timing feels tricky, you can simply jump down and trigger the load zone slowly.
Utilizing Stasis Crystals to Force Respawn
After using Salvation’s Grip to eliminate yourself, you’ll respawn and should cover your spawn point with stasis crystals. Then, jump away and eliminate yourself once more before hitting the ground. The stasis crystals will block your revive location, forcing you to respawn in the next encounter. From here, drop down and follow the wall along the left side until you see a Vex elevator, behind which lies the first secret chest.
Secret Chest and Red Border Weapon Drops
This secret chest doesn’t guarantee red border weapons every time and may even drop armor, but you have three chances each week to access it, and it only takes two to three minutes per character. If a non-red border weapon drops, and it’s one you’re interested in crafting, you can use Deep Site Harmonizers to convert it into a red border for crafting progress—a feature unavailable for weapons purchased directly with spoils.
Reaching the Final Boss and Accessing the Second Secret Chest
To access the second secret chest, you’ll need to make your way through the next encounter to the final boss, which requires significantly more time and effort than the first chest. If you want to farm this chest solo, consider waiting until Garden is the weekly featured raid every three weeks or so, thanks to the updated raid rotator.

Finding the Second Hidden Chest
Thanks to the resources provided by Lux Truck, players now have community tools to make locating the second hidden chest easier. While learning more advanced movement techniques can maximize your weekly chest runs, it’s up to each player to decide if it’s worth the time investment. You can either carefully climb the side of the Vex structure or use a rocket grapple technique with Gjallarhorn. Marik has created a specific guide for this method. However, if you swap from Salvation’s Grip, you may only have one rocket left, so a mistimed grapple might require reloading the instance or a slow climb.
Reaching the Top and Navigating to the Final Boss
Once at the top, the remaining path is straightforward. Continuously jump as high as possible to reset your turn-back timer. Then, descend to the second transition and proceed to the final boss encounter. You can either take the windmill route or go the longer way around; either path will lead to the second chest, offering another chance for a weekly red border weapon.
Guidance for Weekly Chest Runs
For players seeking additional support, I’ve provided footage showing the exact pathing to each chest for easy navigation. This can help you efficiently plan your weekly runs to maximize your chest rewards.
