Greetings, hero! Librarian Husky here, ready to assist you with the vast knowledge of Deadlock. Whether you’re seeking wisdom about strategies, tier lists, or hidden lore, I’ve got the tomes and scrolls to guide you. Let’s dive into the latest updates and unravel the mysteries of the battlefield together. Stay sharp, and remember: even the smallest hero can change the course of history!
B Tier Heroes
Let’s move on to the B tier. First off, we have Lady Gist. She deals a decent amount of damage, especially with the recent change to her Blood Shards in the latest patch. Her ultimate provides a great way to recover from a health disadvantage and deal with tanks, but she takes a long time to reach this potential. Movement-wise, she’s quite static and easy to counter, which is why she fits into the B tier.
Rafe: Another B Tier Hero
Another hero, almost a fallen one, that now belongs in the B tier is Rafe. She used to be a top pick for me, but recent patches have indirectly nerfed her gun build, which I believe is her strongest version. While she has good mobility, utility, and decent damage, her output is no longer ideal.

A Tier Heroes Overview
This is by far the largest tier, with heroes loosely ordered from worst to best. All of them are viable to play with varying levels of effectiveness depending on your skill level, your lobbies, and other factors. Let’s dive into it. First off, in the A tier, we have Pocket.
Pocket: Feast or Famine Hero
Pocket can be absolutely unstoppable in the right hands, with insane mobility and a high amount of burst damage. His ability to force enemies back to base can win entire fights. However, Pocket’s only issue is that unless he gets rolling, he becomes useless. His kit revolves around either feast or famine, offering either full burst or nothing at all. But when he works, he really works, which is why he belongs in the A tier.
BBop: A Force to Be Reckoned With
Next up is BBop. He received a huge buff in the latest patch, making his ultimate almost unstoppable. Although a hotfix slowed him down slightly, his double bomb build remains stronger than ever. While it’s possible to counter him by building a debuff remover, it requires a lot of resources that could be spent elsewhere. BBop’s ultimate can decimate either a single target or the entire enemy team in one go, so you need to be cautious when BBop gets rolling.
A Tier Heroes with Potential
I don’t place him in the S tier because he has many item counters and general counters that prevent him from truly shining in every situation. Next, we have Yamato.
Yamato: High Burst, High Risk
Yamato has insane burst damage, survivability, and utility. She can stick to your squishy heroes like no other, especially when fully equipped. However, she’s more challenging to play, and while some might argue she belongs in the S tier, her difficulty and her “feast or famine” playstyle put her in the A tier.
Viscus: High Skill Ceiling Hero
Viscus is different in that he has a high skill ceiling but is comparatively easier to play in lane and harass opponents. Your skill will determine his limit, and in the late game, a good Viscus can carry with his ball and punch abilities. However, as the game progresses, it becomes harder to line up his abilities, which holds him back from being a reliable all-rounder.
Moen Krill: High Potential, High Team Dependency
Next up, we have Moen Krill. These heroes have immense potential but are highly dependent on having a coordinated team to reach their full effectiveness.
Team Coordination and Hero Strength
Following up on their kit, when built properly, allows them to tear through all the troopers and jungles and clear the map at a record pace, while also having great lane presence. Their knockup or ultimate guarantees a kill in a gank or fight and is incredibly powerful with proper follow-up.
Mo and Krill: Team Dependent Powerhouses
Mo and Krill excel at tanking and securing kills on high-value targets, but they rely heavily on teammates for follow-up. Without it, their effort goes to waste. This makes them excellent in coordinated teams but less effective when playing solo or with uncoordinated allies.
Paradox: Roaming Ganker with High Risk
Paradox faces similar challenges. On her own, she doesn’t pack much of a punch unless significantly ahead. However, her kit is amazing for her team, with her F ability enabling fast roaming and ganking. Her ultimate can secure free kills at any stage of the game, but like Mo and Krill, it comes with great risk if there’s no team support.
Lash: Hyper Carry Potential
Lash has a lot of hyper-carry potential. If you use his kit right, you can easily win in lane and snowball into the mid or late game. With proper execution, any fight can turn in your favor, making him a strong candidate for carrying games.
Hero Skill and Ultimate Potential
With the right pick or the perfect ultimate, a well-timed gold ultimate is practically a free kill or a fight ender on its own. However, the challenge lies in the hero’s high skill floor. If used incorrectly, a massive ultimate can quickly become a massive throw. Certain teams may render his ultimate less effective if they can avoid or counter it.
Warden: High Damage and Survivability
Warden hits hard, offering one of the highest consistent damage outputs in the game depending on your build. His survivability is incredibly high, and he has strong pick potential thanks to his ability to lock enemies down. Once fully built, Warden becomes nearly unstoppable. However, the downside is his lack of escape options. When you initiate a fight, you have to fully commit. If the fight goes wrong, you might find yourself useless for a short time.
Great Talon: Map-Wide Presence
Great Talon can deal significant damage and be an oppressive menace, both in lane and during the mid to late game. His Spirit Owl ability secures kills and wins fights thanks to its massive damage and stun, which allows for perfect engagements. The owl grants Great Talon presence across the entire map, enabling him to push lanes or secure kills on low-health targets from a distance.
A Tier and S Tier Heroes Overview
Great Talon can share his strength with the rest of the team thanks to his map-wide presence, but his reliance on positioning is crucial. He’s squishy, and if caught out of position, he’s as good as dead. Finally, to close out the A tier, we have Hayes.
Hayes: Strong Yet Situational
Hayes is likely the strongest hero in the A tier, and some might argue she belongs in the S tier. However, her “feast or famine” playstyle makes her performance inconsistent. If focused properly or countered with the right items, her impact diminishes, no matter how many resources she accumulates. Despite this, she remains strong and is only truly shut down by well-coordinated teams.
Abrams: S Tier Powerhouse
In the S tier, we have heroes who stand out due to unique strengths. Abrams is a prime example. I debated whether to place him in A or S tier, but his sheer survivability, damage output, and utility from both his stun and ultimate make him exceptional. Winning lanes with Abrams is easy, and he can initiate or follow up on an ally’s initiation to secure kills at any stage of the game. Simple yet incredibly rewarding, Abrams exemplifies what an S tier hero should be.
Ivy: Versatile Abilities
Following Abrams, we have Ivy. Her set of abilities makes her highly versatile and adaptable in various situations, ensuring her place in the S tier.
S Tier Heroes: Versatile and Powerful
Ivy can either play as a support or a massive damage dealer, providing incredible value through all of her abilities, especially her stun and ultimate. In my opinion, her ultimate alone secures her place in the S tier. She can use it to roam, gank, initiate fights, save teammates, escape danger, or move herself or an ally across the map at record speed. The map control provided by a well-placed tier three bomb might be unmatched.
Vindicta: Early Game Dominance
Next, we have Vindicta. Previously, I would have placed her in the A tier since she struggles in the late game, but her laning phase and early-to-mid game are almost unmatched. With incredible snowball potential, her ultimate allows for easy ganks and quick kills with minimal effort. In the latest patch, her sniper rifle now deals additional damage on headshots and shares extra Souls per kill with teammates who assist. While some see this as a nerf due to reduced personal gain, I view it as a buff. The shared Souls improve the overall team economy, which becomes especially useful as the game progresses and enemies start focusing on Vindicta.

S Tier Heroes and Their Strengths
It’s better that her teammates can pick up the slack as well. Now, let’s talk about Shiv. I’ve had enough of Shiv by now. When built correctly, he can deal an insane amount of damage. Once he gets his ultimate in the laning phase, he can practically smash the keyboard and still score a double kill. The power spike Shiv gets with rage, even if he’s behind in kills, is massive and can tip the scales back in his favor.
Shiv: Snowball Potential
It’s up to Shiv to snowball his laning phase into a successful early-to-mid game, as he shines the most with a huge lead. Compared to heroes lower on this tier list, it’s easier for him to get ahead and maintain his lead, thanks to his damage output and survivability. Next up is Kelvin.
Kelvin: Post-Nerf Support Powerhouse
Kelvin saw a significant nerf in this patch, especially with his ultimate no longer granting free kills on key objectives like towers, the mid boss, or even the patron. However, that doesn’t mean he’s lost his usefulness. His kit still offers strong utility with a healing and slowing grenade, a slowing death ray, and a flying ability that leaves a path for his team. Despite the nerfs, Kelvin remains one of the best support heroes in the game.
S Tier Heroes and Their Versatility
Let’s talk about Dynamo. Dynamo saw a marginal nerf in the latest patch, but it didn’t significantly impact his overall kit. Every ability of his is valuable both for himself and his team. Whether it’s the knock-up, increased damage, or speed boosts, every ability makes a huge difference. Dynamo can easily carry his team as either a support or a damage dealer, making him a standout in the S tier.
Inferos: Dominating Sustained Fights
We can’t talk about the S tier without mentioning Inferos. He received a minor buff in the last patch, with improved slow resistance during his charge. In sustained fights, Inferos excels. If the battle lasts long enough for him to apply his passive on multiple enemies, he becomes nearly unkillable while dealing insane amounts of damage. A well-placed ultimate can turn the tide of any fight, securing victory if used correctly.
Final S Tier Hero
To round off the S tier, we have one last hero. This hero exemplifies everything it takes to dominate the game, contributing to both team fights and solo skirmishes.
