Solo Queue Tier List Overview

This list is based on solo queueing, where you pick a character and gauge how good your chances are of winning. First up, we have Abrams.

Abrams: A Powerful Choice

Abrams is a fantastic character. He does tons of damage, especially early in the game, and his shotgun is very oppressive. If you build him for weapon damage, it’s probably too much damage to handle. For this reason, I’m putting him in the S tier. Some people say he’s too easy to parry, but a good Abrams can bait out a parry, even if they build for melee. The gun build is just as strong.

BBop: Buffed and Deadly

Next, we have BBop. I want to rank him higher just because of his ultimate. It received a buff and now deals insane damage. You can build him mystically, jump into the air, and fry everyone. He’s also very oppressive early game during laning because he can grab you. If he’s in the dual lane, you’re essentially dead, especially if paired with Abrams, who can pull you into a charge against the wall.

Top Heroes in Deadlock: Dynamo and More

Dynamo is the first SS-tier hero in the game. His ability to build refresher means you can have your ultimate available almost constantly. He offers knockups and heals, and even with minimal team coordination, Dynamo excels. In Solo Queue games, just a bit of communication can carry you from lower to higher MMR, all thanks to his ultimate and refresher.

Greaty Talon: A Weaker Option

Greaty Talon isn’t the strongest hero and might belong in the C tier. He deals good damage but feels like a much weaker version of Vindicta. He has decent abilities, but in comparison, he’s just not as effective.

Hayes: Solo Carry Potential

Hayes is another strong solo carry option. You build her as an ADC, focusing on silencing enemies and going Unstoppable. Her ultimate is devastating, allowing her to tear down structures and turn entire games around, especially if the enemy team is focused on objectives like the Mid boss.

Final Thoughts on Inferus

Inferus follows next in the list of heroes, but the focus on timing and positioning plays a critical role in maximizing his impact.

Hero Analysis: Inferus and Others

Inferus is a very strong hero with impressive damage potential. His burn effect is powerful, lasting for a long time, making him excellent in laning situations due to his poke abilities. I’d place him in the S tier, though he might be at the bottom of this tier or possibly at the top of A tier, depending on the situation.

Ivy: A Weaker ADC Option

Ivy, on the other hand, doesn’t impress as much. She’s decent at securing the Earn and does solid structure damage as an ADC, but overall, she’s a weaker ADC compared to someone like Hayes. While communication can help her secure the Earn, it’s not as valuable without proper coordination.

Kelvin: Still Strong After Nerf

Despite recent nerfs, Kelvin remains a top-tier hero. His Ice Beam slows opponents drastically, turning them into snails on the battlefield, while dealing about a thousand damage in just two seconds. His ability to control the game with slows and high damage makes him incredibly good.

Gist: The Worst Character

Gist is probably the weakest hero in the game. Her main tactic is to charge forward, pressing her abilities without much strategy. The moment she’s silenced, she becomes irrelevant in any fight, making her an easy target to counter.

Lash: Mobility and Damage

Lash stands out as a highly mobile hero with some of the best movement in the game, rivaling even Kelvin. He excels in the early game with his high damage output and ability to quickly maneuver around the map, landing on enemies and applying immense pressure.

McGinniss: A Final Look

McGinniss, though not mentioned in-depth here, rounds out the list of notable characters with his own unique set of abilities that, depending on your playstyle, could greatly contribute to your team’s success.

McGinniss Turret Build: A Frustrating Opponent

I recently encountered a McGinniss turret build, and it was quite surprising. I approached her with about equal farm, not realizing she had three turrets set up. Even after engaging, the turrets outdamaged me, which was shocking. However, despite how annoying her turrets can be, McGinniss overall isn’t that strong. You can’t really solo carry with her, and her usefulness seems to plateau at frustrating opponents rather than dominating.

Moen Krill: Excellent in Coordinated Play

Moen Krill is an excellent hero, but he requires coordination. His ultimate is nearly useless without teammates to capitalize on it. In team play, especially with a duo partner, he can really shine. However, in solo queue, where coordination is often lacking, Moen Krill can’t carry as hard. His strengths lie in being a support-based hero who thrives in team fights, but solo queue team fights often descend into chaos. In high MMR, where there’s more teamwork, he could easily be placed in the SS tier.

Paradox: A High Skill, High Reward Hero

Paradox is an excellent hero with his swap ability, which can turn the tide of battles. However, it does take a bit of team play to make full use of his potential. His skill ceiling is high, but with good coordination, Paradox can be a game-changer.

Paradox: A Tier Hero with Team Potential

As mentioned before, with a well-coordinated team, you could argue Paradox belongs in the S tier. However, we’re placing her in A tier since it’s harder to solo carry with her. Despite being an excellent hero, Paradox’s reliance on teamwork makes her less effective in solo play.

Pocket: High Mobility and Hard to Kill

Pocket is an exceptional hero with tons of mobility. Most Pocket players build for movement, making him incredibly difficult to kill. His Barrage ability deals significant damage, and he can hop into his suitcase and fly away, escaping tricky situations easily. Pocket is definitely one of the hardest heroes to take down.

Seven: A Hyper Farmer in the A Tier

Seven is a strong hero, known for hyper farming. You could even argue that he belongs in the S tier, but since that tier is getting crowded, we’ll place him at the top of A tier. The optimal build for Seven focuses on gun damage, as his ultimate becomes less effective in higher lobbies. Knockdowns and line-of-sight breaks reduce its impact, making the gun build far superior.

Vindicta: A Damage-Dealing Powerhouse

Vindicta is an incredibly strong hero, capable of dealing massive gun damage. She moves around the map quickly, making her a very versatile and powerful option. Vindicta is one of the top damage-dealers, consistently putting pressure on the enemy team.

Warden: Early Poke and Late-Game Speed

Warden is another powerful hero, particularly strong in the early game with his poke damage. If you build Spirit damage, his AOE ability can chip away at enemies from a distance. As the game progresses, Warden’s gun damage ramps up, and his high mobility makes him incredibly difficult to pin down. Many players build him with max speed, allowing him to zip around the battlefield.

Solo Queue Hero Rankings: Warden, Wraith, and More

Even in solo queue, we’re placing Warden at the bottom of A tier. Warden’s strengths come from his early poke and mobility, but his effectiveness drops off in solo situations without team coordination.

Wraith: The One-on-One Champion

Wraith is probably the best 1v1 character, especially in the early game. Once she has her ultimate, any slight misplay or poor positioning from an opponent can lead to an instant death. Her ultimate guarantees a kill unless the enemy has counters like Unstoppable or Ethereal Shift. For this reason, we’re placing Wraith in the S tier, possibly even higher than Abrams due to her domination in solo fights. However, silencer heroes like Haze can counter her effectively, making her vulnerable to precise play.

Yam: Strong with Refresher Build

Yam is an incredibly solid hero, especially when built with a refresher. Having two ultimates allows Yam to survive for a long time, stall out team fights, and deal decent damage. Her ability to fly around and evade attacks makes her hard to kill, and she’s excellent for solo carrying when played well.

Shiv: A Solo Queue Powerhouse

Shiv belongs in the SS tier, especially in solo queue. His damage output in team fights is incredible, and he can easily execute enemies with his abilities. Shiv’s strength lies in his ability to run over teams with sheer damage, making him one of the top choices for solo queuing.

Viscus: A Final Look

Though not covered in great detail, Viscus also plays a critical role depending on team dynamics and build. His placement in the tier list would depend heavily on how he’s used in conjunction with other characters.
