Greetings, adventurers! Librarian Husky hereβyour trusted companion on the journey to in-game mastery. Today, weβre diving into an exciting challenge: unlocking the Nebula camo on Liberty Falls in just one game. With the right strategies, precise headshots, and a touch of persistence, youβll conquer this task in record time. Letβs gear up and make every shot count!
Optimal Locations for Farming Headshots
To unlock the Nebula camo efficiently, choosing the right farming location is essential. While some players recommend the roof of the bank, Liberty Lanes proves to be the most effective spot in directed mode due to its consistent zombie spawn rate. By avoiding areas with slow or unpredictable spawns, you can optimize your progress and save valuable time.
Understanding Zombie Spawn Points
In locations like the roof of the bank, zombies spawn beneath the structure and take time to climb up to your position, slowing your progress. This delay can be frustrating and inefficient when aiming for rapid headshots. On the other hand, Liberty Lanes offers visible and predictable spawn points, ensuring that zombies appear consistently and in manageable groups.
Efficient Gameplay Tips
Maximizing efficiency requires choosing a location with minimal delays and focusing on consistent eliminations. Liberty Lanes allows players to eliminate zombies without interruptions, making it ideal for farming headshots. By avoiding unnecessary downtime, you can significantly increase your kill count and progress toward unlocking the Nebula camo.
Strategies for Maximizing Nebula in Gameplay
To achieve the Nebula camo in a single game, itβs crucial to stay on round 11, where the round cap limits zombie spawns to 35. This controlled environment simplifies the process and ensures that you can focus on headshots without overwhelming waves of enemies. Additionally, every round spawns a Mangler, contributing to your special camo challenges.
Crafting the Jet Gun
Progressing through the game strategically includes collecting parts for the Jet Gun without immediately crafting it. The water valve can be found in Liberty Lanes, while the handbrake is dropped by the Greenskeeper after defeating him. Electrical wires can be obtained from the electronic store using a Mangler Cannon. Delaying the crafting process keeps you on round 11, allowing you to complete tasks at your own pace.
Efficient Gameplay Tips
Directed mode provides step-by-step guidance, ensuring that you donβt miss critical tasks. Staying on round 11 with limited zombies allows you to focus on headshots and camo challenges without unnecessary distractions. With consistent performance, players can achieve up to 2,000 headshots in just over an hour.

Special Camo Challenges Overview
I don’t think you’re going to get it exactly in one hour, but it’s going to be pretty close for the special camo challenges. I needed to get 300 points, blank kills, and 300 kills with the Dead Fire alternate ammo type equipped. Unlocking both of the camos only took me 15 minutes. At this rate, we’re at about an hour and a half, and we’re already onto the Mastery camo challenges.
Understanding the Asterisk
Now remember that silly little asterisk at the beginning of the discussion. This is where that comes into play. If you need to kill Vermin as a special camo challenge, you’re only going to get a couple around, which is good because that means you’re able to complete it. The same goes for Manglers as long as you’re on the round 11 cap. You will also be able to kill armored zombies.
Mastering Camo Challenges
We can finally go to the masteries. While unlocking gold, you’re going to have to take a few rounds of killing zombies as fast as possible to achieve rapid kills or 10 kills in quick succession for the camo challenge progression. This honestly isn’t even hard on round 11 in the directed mode; you can complete this within a couple of rounds.
Progressing Through Rounds
Eventually, you’ll reach opal, and this is where the round 11 cap comes in handy. Each time you progress through a round, you’re going to get one Mangler, so you have to repeat round 11 thirty times just to unlock it for one gun. This took me about half an hour to complete while in Liberty Lanes. It’s not the end of the world, but it does require a little bit of a time commitment.
Final Mastery: Camo Afterlife
Finally, we’re on the second-to-last mastery, Camo Afterlife, where you have to get 20 kills without taking damage. This is extremely easy in directed mode because the zombies are slower and there are fewer of them, which makes it easier to kill as many as possible without getting hit. This camo challenge does stack; if you’re getting 40, 60, or 80 kills in multiples of 20 without taking any damage, you’re making camo progression.
Completing the Easter Egg Steps
Now, while working on your 20 kills without taking damage, this is where you’ll finally make progress on your round cap. Build the jet gun and complete the Easter Egg steps by crafting the LTG using the jet gun to obtain its parts. Once you finally complete the Afterlife camo, you can work on the next step of the Easter egg, using the LTG to spawn in your Elite zombies to unlock the Nebula camo once the LTG is crafted.
Strategies for Unlocking Nebula Camo
To unlock the Nebula camo, take your weapon to the graveyard and place it beneath the purple cloud. You will need to defend it until a high-value target (HVT) spawns, which may take a few minutes. This defense task is manageable. By this point in your camo grind, your weapon should be fully upgraded with Pack-a-Punch and Salvage, as you have been collecting resources from previous grinding sessions.
Defeating the High-Value Target
Once the defense step is complete, a high-value target will spawn, which could be either The Mangler or the Abomination. Your task is to eliminate it and finish off all remaining zombies for the rest of the round. You will reach the round 15 cap, and at this point, you can repeat rounds. Each time you spawn a high-value target, defeat ten of them to unlock the Nebula camo for your weapon.
Time Investment and Experience Boost
For reference, it took me 2 hours and 20 minutes to go from 0 to 2,000 headshots and unlock Nebula on the SOG. My total gameplay time was about 2.5 hours. After unlocking Nebula, I completed the Easter egg and finished the boss fight. Not only do you unlock the Directed Mode calling card and other rewards, but you also receive a significant XP boost at the end of your match, which can help you level up quickly.
Unlocking Nebula on Multiple Weapons
Eventually, it will be possible to unlock Nebula on every weapon in one game as long as you avoid parasite kills and challenges. This is a crucial aspect to consider if you’re aiming for efficiency in your camo grinding journey.

Unlocking the Nebula Camo
It took me 2 and a half hours to complete one gun. Multiply that by 33, and that’s how long you’ll have to play a single game to unlock the Nebula camo. Is this possible? Technically, yes. Is it realistic? Absolutely not! If you were taking part in the Russian sleep experiment, that might be a one-in-a-billion case where someone actually does this in one play session.
Using Save and Quit Feature
You could also argue semantics if I were to use the save and quit feature and only play in this one match. Technically, I’m unlocking it in one game, just through multiple play sessions..
Standard Game Mode vs. Directed Mode
If you’re thinking about asking what would happen if I tried to do the same thing in standard game mode, I’ve also tried that, and it’s not even close to as fast as directed mode. I was an hour and 45 minutes into my game session, and I didn’t even have my 2,000 headshots. Yet I was completely solo on round 39, and the zombie health was just too high to be getting headshots efficiently.
Efficient Headshot Farming
So before I even completed the military camo challenge of 2,000 headshots, if you were to directly compare it to directed mode, you would already be working on your mastery camos. I still think standard mode is the best place to do your headshots. If you fill it to round 25 and start up a new game, your 2,000 headshots can be done in under an hour.
