The Strand Warlock finds itself in an unusual position. Historically, Bungie has introduced powerful new subclasses to entice players, but the reception of Stasis was mixed.
The Strand Warlock is currently underpowered for PvP. While it offers some intriguing abilities like Woven Mail and a suspension move, they are niche in application. The melee and super are serviceable but not standout. The Brood Weaver struggles against adept opponents, making it an F-tier choice.
Titan’s Berserker (Strand): PVE Brilliance, PvP Struggles
While Titan’s Berserker shines in PvE, it doesn’t translate as effectively to PvP. Its grenades are lackluster, and its unique abilities are too niche for the Crucible. This subclass avoids F-tier due to stronger Exotic options like Path of Burning Steps.
Arc Hunter: A Fallen Favorite
Once a fan favorite, Arc Hunter’s appeal has waned with the shift towards oppressive abilities. While Blink’s return is a positive, it doesn’t elevate the subclass to S-tier. The disorienting melee remains potent, and the Arc Staff super is formidable, but Arc has been more effectively augmented on other characters.
Arc Warlock: Shocking Supremacy
Arc Warlock leverages its fragments effectively and can be oppressive in the Crucible. The Arc Soul-Rift combo is relentless, providing constant pressure to opponents. The Landfall super offers a powerful Titan-smash-like effect. With a versatile kit and strong class abilities, Arc Warlock accommodates various playstyles and is beginner-friendly.
Behemoth Titan: Chilling in the Crucible
Behemoth Titan introduces stasis to the tier list, initially arriving as an overpowering force. After subsequent nerfs, it now resides in the middle ground. While challenging for beginners, experienced players can utilize its toolkit effectively. Playing against multiple Behemoths highlights their potential to be formidable, but they may struggle against top-tier subclasses.
Void Hunter: A Stealthy Standout
Void Hunter, known for Spectral Blades and invisibility, has evolved into a versatile option. It balances effectiveness at all skill levels, making it a solid choice for both new and skilled players. The subclass boasts powerful smokes, and Hunters’ innate agility provides a competitive edge. Overall, Void Hunter remains a contender in the Crucible.
Shadebinder Warlock: Embracing the Freeze
Shadebinder Warlocks excel in freezing opponents, especially in the hands of skilled players. Its well-timed melee can be devastating, especially when paired with a Cold Snap grenade. The synergy between fragments and aspects enhances the subclass’s crowd-control capabilities, making it a force to be reckoned with.
Solar Hunter: A Blaze of Glory
Solar Hunter strikes a balance between accessibility for newer players and high skill-ceiling gameplay. On Your Mark provides potent weapon boosts, while Radiant On Command offers versatility. The subclass offers diverse melee options, accommodating various playstyles. With strong supers like Golden Gun and Blade Barrage, Solar Hunter is a top choice for skilled players.
Revenant Hunter: Mastering the Freeze
Revenant Hunter’s versatility shines through with the introduction of Shatter Dive, addressing a longstanding weakness. This subclass effectively combines neutral and offensive playstyles. Duskfield grenades are exceptional for controlling engagements, and synergies with fragments enhance its effectiveness. The Mask of Bakris Exotic further elevates its capabilities, securing its A-tier ranking.
Void Titan: The Indomitable Defender
The Void Titan’s strength endures due to its robust defensive capabilities and powerful synergies. Barricades with self-regenerating overshields provide a significant advantage. Enhanced grenades and extended melee distance make Void Titan a formidable opponent. This subclass exemplifies the effectiveness of fragments and aspects, solidifying its S-tier status.

Icarus Dash revolutionized the Solar Warlock, offering unparalleled aerial mobility. The subclass combines offensive and defensive options, providing dynamic gameplay. With a versatile melee and two potent supers, Solar Warlock excels in a variety of situations. Its high skill ceiling for mechanical ability places it firmly in the S-tier.
Arc Titan: A Shocking Presence
Historically dominant, Arc Titan faces an upcoming nerf. Despite this, it remains a powerful choice for aggressive playstyles. Knockout’s bonus damage and extended melee distance make it a formidable option. Lightning grenades and well-utilized Barricades offer excellent utility. Thundercrash provides an explosive finish to this top-tier subclass.
