Welcome back! We’re here to continue the Burning Crusade quest chain from Archmage Alturus, and tell you all about the boost that grants you the first key fragment, and ultimately, Entry Into Karazhan.

The part of the key is picked up in the Shadow Labirynth. However, in order to enter there, you might have to get the Shadow Librarian key. While, yes, you could always find someone else with the key or maybe even a rogue who can lockpick this, but else you will have to complete the Sethekk Halls.

Entry Into Karazhan quest can’t be done without a TBC First Key Fragment boost.

After slaying the final boss, you will be able to loot the chest within its quarters. It contains the key to open the gates to the Shadow Labirynth. After unlocking the access to that instance, proceed to clear it until you encounter the final boss. Right next to it you’ll find an object, looking like a crystal on a pedestal. Interact with it to summon a guardian.
