⏳ Popularity: HOT

Greetings, Guardians! Librarian Husky here, and with Echo’s Act Three upon us, we have a brand-new exotic, many new artifact mods, weapon meta shakeups, different perk rolls, nerfs, and buffs. So, it is now time to do another top 10 most popular weapons being used this season. Right now, these weapons are being used because they are the most popular and best weapons to use. If you’re not using them or if you don’t have them, this is your excuse or your motivation to go and get these weapons.

Apex Predator

The Apex Predator is still by far the go-to rocket launcher to use in any activity in the game. Whether it’s a simple strike, a Grandmaster Nightfall, or even a day one raid, the Apex Predator is by far still the best rocket launcher to pull into any raid or encounter scenario. Depending on what role or activity you’re trying to do or how you want to use the gun, my recommended god roll is Reconstruction and Bait and Switch or Reconstruction and Explosive Light if you’re going for a longer damage phase.

Weapon Recommendations for High-Damage Scenarios

I would recommend running Bait and Switch, but if you’re doing something like the Witness kill where you don’t have too much time, Explosive Light is much better. Either way, this is a crafted rocket launcher, and you can obtain this one from The Last Wish raid. By this point, I’m sure everyone has the Apex Predator crafted.

Dragon’s Breath

The Dragon’s Breath is still one of the best Exotics in the entire game and is always a weapon I keep in my inventory. With the artifact mods and fragments available to boost Scorch and ignition damage, Dragon’s Breath delivers amazing results in any encounter. One artifact mod, Solar Fulmination, increases the damage of all ignitions, making this gun a solid go-to weapon.

Pro Memoria

Pro Memoria comes from the Lost City inside the Pale Heart and is one of the best machine guns in the game. It’s extremely easy to get and craft, allowing you to select your god roll. In my opinion, the best god roll is Reconstruction and Bait and Switch, which are both very user-friendly perks. Reconstruction reloads the gun for you, and Bait and Switch offers a 30% flat damage boost after hitting enemies with other weapons.

Alternative Perks for Pro Memoria

If you don’t want to run Bait and Switch, there are plenty of other perks to choose from, like Dragonfly, Desperate Measures, Target Lock, Frenzy, and more. This weapon can be crafted with any of these, making it a great machine gun that’s easy to obtain. Its origin perk, Dealer’s Choice, is a massive bonus, providing bonus super energy on kills when using other weapons from the Pale Heart.

Sunshot

The Sunshot is widely regarded as one of the best hand cannons in the game. While Bungie attempted to nerf its explosive damage, the Sunshot remains a top-tier hand cannon for any encounter. Players have been using it for several seasons, and if you’re not, you definitely should be.

Indebted Kindness

The Indebted Kindness was the first rocket-assisted shotgun in the game and remains one of the best to use. As one of three rocket-assisted shotguns, it’s Arc-based and is great when Arc damage or shields are needed. The god roll for this gun involves any perk combined with Volt Shot, as Volt Shot is what truly makes this weapon exceptional.

Combining Lead from Gold with Vault Shot

I would argue that Lead from Gold is the best perk to combine with Vault Shot. This weapon already hits hard, and when you add the extra damage from Vault Shot, it becomes exceptional. Running Lead from Gold allows for better ammo economy, making the weapon function more like a primary weapon. If I use Beacon Rounds, I tend to run out of ammo too quickly, but Lead from Gold lets me use this gun more often.

Indebted Kindness Source

The Indebted Kindness comes from the Warlords of Ruin dungeon. If you haven’t obtained it yet, you can easily focus farm the first boss in the encounter solo or with a fire team to target this weapon.

Outbreak Perfected

Outbreak Perfected, which comes from the Zero Hour exotic mission, can now be crafted with Rewind Rounds. This makes it the best weapon for any Grandmaster Nightfall, especially with anti-barrier pulse rifle mods being available this season. It’s effective against anti-barrier champions and can pierce through Hydra shields. Overall, it’s a great gun with high damage output and is the highest damage primary weapon in the game. Plus, it’s a great backup when you run out of special or heavy ammo.

Graviton Lance

You can just pull this weapon out, and it should deal the most damage possible for a primary weapon. Moving on to number four, we have the Graviton Lance, also known as the Gravy Train. The Graviton Lance is one of the best exotic pulse rifles in the game, receiving a massive buff a few seasons ago with a 75% increase in damage. Its exotic perk, Cosmology, causes enemies to explode upon defeat, resulting in massive void explosions. Pair this with any void subclass or volatile rounds for a devastating build. It’s one of the most enjoyable weapons to use in the game, and if you haven’t tried it yet, this season is the perfect time.

Choir of One

Moving into the top three most popular weapons, at number three, we have Choir of One, a brand-new exotic introduced in Echo’s Act 3. This exotic is obtained through The Encore Overture exotic mission. The mission can be difficult and a bit confusing, so you may want to consult a guide if you haven’t completed it yet. Choir of One is proving to be one of the best exotics in the game, so powerful that Bungie is planning to nerf it soon. This weapon functions as a hit-scan rifle, firing heavy-hitting bullets at a rapid rate when aiming down sights.

Choir of One: Weapon Mechanics

If you decide to hip-fire the gun, it shoots multiple projectiles at a slower rate. When enemies die from hip-fire, they cause ignitions, making them explode with energy. This gun is extremely fun and effective to use. I highly recommend getting it before the nerf so you can experience its full power.

Aberrant Action

Coming in at number two is Aberrant Action, the new solar rocket-assisted sidearm. In my opinion, solar weapons are the best in the game because they have great synergy with most subclass abilities. Solar is generally the best element for both Prismatic and non-Prismatic setups. The god roll for Aberrant Action is H Clip and Incandescent, which work amazingly well together on this gun. Having a solar rocket-assisted sidearm with these perks is broken in the best way, and you should definitely craft this weapon as soon as possible.

The Call

And here we are at number one, the most popular weapon in Echo’s Act 3: The Call, a Strand rocket-assisted sidearm. There’s a clear trend—rocket-assisted sidearms are dominating the meta right now. While there are several god rolls you can choose for The Call, I have my own personal favorite.

The Call – Best Perk Combination

I really like using Demolitionist and Golden Tricorn on The Call. Demolitionist helps recharge your grenades much faster, while Golden Tricorn gives you a 40% damage boost when you get a kill that matches your subclass. Since The Call is a Strand weapon, getting a Strand kill boosts its damage, making it hit like a monster. Everyone’s been talking about The Call, and it’s been the most popular weapon in Destiny ever since The Final Shape came out. If you don’t have it yet, you’re missing out—get The Call and use it as much as possible.
