What’s up everybody, my name is Librarian Husky, and today we’re going to dive deep into the best champions in Deadlock for the average player. I’m not talking about the pros or the top 0.001% of players; I’m talking about the everyday gamer—the one who sometimes goes on a wild win streak but can also have those rough 0-8 games. So, let’s get into the tier list and see which champions can help you dominate and which ones might be holding you back!
The Average Player Experience
I’m a guy who wins a lot, and I can hard carry games, but sometimes I’ll go 0-8. Not that often, but when it happens, it hurts my feelings. So, I’ll go play another match, and suddenly I’m 14-0. Let’s start the list, beginning with Mirage.
Mirage – B Tier Champion
Mirage is the new guy, and nobody has figured him out yet. Nobody has a solid build for him. I think there’s a lot of untapped potential. Until that potential is found, he remains in B tier. The ability to teleport to any person on the map is wild. If you’re playing with friends or on voice comms, this guy is insane.
Potential for S Tier
If you don’t have a team, good luck carrying with Mirage. Until you get Ricochet Mystic Burst and all the spirit you need, it’s going to be tough. Honestly, Mirage should be A tier and will probably end up towards the bottom of it. But with proper communication, he’ll be an S tier champion.
BBop – B Tier Champion
Next up is BBop. BBop is going to B tier. Look, he can stomp noobs with ease.
BBop – Low B Tier Champion
If they don’t know about the laser, BBop can be a lane bully sometimes, but he’s been more or less nerfed with the Echo Shard nerf. His damage output is just not that impressive anymore. You can easily play around his ultimate if you’re even slightly decent, and he’s very counterable. I almost want to put him in C tier, but I’ll say B for BBop. He’s probably low B.
Dynamo – A to S Tier Champion
Dynamo is looking like a high A or even S tier champion. His ultimate is insane, and while he’s more team-oriented, he still goes crazy. If you’re the only player doing well on your team, it can be rough, but if you get to play supportive Dynamo, ulting twice in a row, you can change the entire game. It’s a strong pick if you play him right.
Kevin – High A Tier Champion
Kevin is also going into high A. He’s been nerfed a bit, mostly his gun, and since then, I haven’t seen any Kevins go crazy. However, he’s still really good. The utility he brings to the team is significant, especially if you’re in a duo lane with someone who can secure kills while you facilitate. It’s strong, but not quite enough for S tier.

Lady Gist – S Tier Champion
I’m putting her in S tier because she goes crazy if you know what you’re doing. If you hit your grenades, you will outdamage almost everyone. Maybe she’s the hardest champion to play in the game, but with her silence, life drain, and bombs that hit across the map, she truly belongs in S tier for these reasons.
Mo Krill – High Potential Champion
Mo Krill, just look at these guys! Did you know it’s a mole instead of a pig? It took me forever to realize that. Just ignore the creepy monkey on the back. Jokes aside, Mo Krill is pretty good. I want to put them in S tier, but they’re not quite there. However, the average player can dominate lanes and the mid-game with Mo Krill. While not S tier, they are strong and will win a lot of games.
Abrams – S Tier Champion
Abrams, or Hellboy as I like to call him, is so broken. Even if you don’t punch, your gun goes crazy, and you live forever. He’s such a useful and goofy champion. If you’re a noob, this is probably the best champion for you to play and still be useful. You can go 0-11 and still take three people to kill you. Definitely S tier.
Shiv – Nemesis Champion
Next, we have Shiv. I hate this guy. He always kills me.
Shiv – A Tier Champion
When I’m carrying games, Shiv goes straight into A tier. Putting Shiv anywhere other than A would be silly. This champion excels at executing. If you can play Shiv, you can win. While it’s tough to carry entirely on your own, if you’re working with others, executing over and over is so easy.
Pocket – S Tier Champion
I’m putting Pocket in S tier. Anyone who knows how to play Pocket knows how fun it is. You turn into a briefcase, unleash frogs, and do all sorts of crazy moves. His ultimate is incredibly frustrating; it can force you out of a fight and send you back to base for what feels like forever. Pocket is overpowered and remains consistently strong.
Seven – S Tier Champion
Next, we have Seven. I like Seven a lot, though he’s not for everybody. Despite getting nerfed in every patch, he remains broken. S is for Seven, and he stands above most champions, except maybe Abrams. Seven is squishy, and you need to get fed, jungle for a while, and farm three lanes simultaneously. But if you manage that, you’re unstoppable and can carry your team to victory.
Seven – A Risky but Fun Champion
If you don’t play Seven properly, you’re going to lose and be an easy target, getting one-shotted by everyone. The slightest bit of crowd control or even a flick to the kneecap, and you’re dead. But if you avoid that, oh boy, you can 1v9. It’s really fun, and I love Seven. Big fan.
Warden – High A Tier Champion
Next up is Warden. I still love Warden, and he remains super strong despite a small nerf. We’re putting him in high A tier, just below S. He’s consistently strong, and while we’re saving S tier for the truly elite champions, Warden is not far behind.
Vindicta – B Tier Champion
Vindicta used to be the strongest hero in the game. She’s still good, despite a few minor nerfs, but she’s no longer the powerhouse she once was. For the average player, she’s not S tier. If you’re an average player, Vindicta won’t carry you. You’re not a pro, so it’s best to leave her in B tier where she belongs.
Great Talon – Stinky B Tier Champion
Of all the characters, Great Talon is probably the stinkiest. When your entire build revolves around sending an owl across the screen, things aren’t looking great for you. Definitely a B tier champion.
Great Talon – B Tier Champion
I can’t even take this character seriously. I don’t think people play Great Talon particularly well, and yet, you don’t need to be great to dominate a lane with them. However, Great Talon doesn’t win games without the team popping off. They fall off in the mid to late game, and all you’ll ever be is a little poker, a worse version of Vindicta. Go send your owl somewhere else.
Hayes – S Tier Champion for Average Players
Next up, we have Hayes, who is still an S tier champion. For the average Joe, Hayes will absolutely dominate most games. If she’s on the enemy team, she’ll kill your whole squad twenty times. But if she’s on your team, she goes 0-10 every match. I don’t understand how her passive works, but Hayes remains broken for both noobs and average players.
Yamato – S Tier Champion
I’m inclined to put Yamato in S tier. Yamato goes crazy. Honestly, the ultimate making you immune to crowd control, immune to death, and immune to everything is insane. People still can’t play this character well, but when they can, it’s going to be a real problem. Ever land against a Yamato and they deal 250 damage with their first ability? It’s not fun. Yamato is S tier—deal with it.
Inferace – Consistent Performer
Have you ever seen an Inferace do badly? At the very least, they’re always doing pretty well. I don’t want to fill S tier with everyone, but every character in this game has potential to be S tier. Inferace is no exception.
Double S Tier and the Power of Abrams and Seven
What if we had a mass migration, moving some characters down to C tier? I can’t. Every character is broken, every character is good, and there are going to be a lot of S tiers here. Maybe the solution is creating a double S tier. Abrams? Absolutely. A proper Seven player? Definitely. But few people play Seven properly. In my games, I pop off as Seven, going absolutely insane. If you get the farm, Seven is disgustingly strong, but if you can’t, and the game ends early, you’re out of luck. Still, Seven is god-tier if played right.
Ivy – The Secret S Tier Champion
Ivy is going into the secret S tier. Nobody knows how broken Ivy actually is. People are too focused on Ivy’s art, but they don’t realize how insanely powerful she is. Her gun is ridiculous, she has crazy utility, and she can instantly reposition, fly across the sky, go invincible, and stun people out of crucial plays. She can also boost teammates’ speed and heal them, making her a true hidden gem.
Lash – Ivy’s Overlooked Potential
Ivy’s ability set makes her one of the most versatile champions. While many players are distracted by superficial details, her true power lies in her adaptability. She can boost team performance while keeping herself and others alive with ease.
Ivy – Secret SS Tier Champion
Ivy is absolutely overpowered right now, a true secret SS tier champion. Her gun is insane, and her ultimate provides a four-second bomb silence that makes her a top pick. Honestly, try her out and get good with Ivy. She’s unhinged in terms of strength and is currently sitting at the top of the best champions list.
Lash – A Tier Champion
Lash is another strong champion, with a game-changing ultimate, but outside of that, he offers knock-ups and a bit of life steal. I’m putting him in A tier, above Shiv. A good Lash can shift the momentum of a match, though he often feels more reliant on his ultimate to make an impact.
McGinnis – S Tier Champion
McGinnis is an interesting case. She’s hard to play correctly, yet also feels brain-dead at times. I’m putting her in S tier because she’s incredibly strong. Whether you go for ability power builds or focus on her gun, McGinnis is solid. Plus, have you seen her on the zip line? She’s got it all—strength and style.
Paradox – C Tier Champion
Paradox, on the other hand, is not looking good. For the average player, Paradox falls into C tier. No one seems to play her well, and she never wins games. She’s essentially become a worse version of Mirage and every other character. In pro play, she’s even worse.

Paradox – C Tier Champion
Paradox is insane in theory but terrible in normal gameplay. You’re not him, her, or them. You’re just C tier. Paradox is hard to play, and people can’t seem to do it right. Someone once said that Paradox’s ultimate is like BBop’s hook with a much longer cooldown that puts you directly into harm’s way. That resonates. Paradox never wins. You’ll likely end the game stuck in spawn, walling off bullets. Sorry, Paradox fans, but she’s not the champ for the average player.
Wraith – High S Tier Champion
Next up is Wraith, who is crazy good right now. There’s a Wraith build that’s absolutely dominating the meta. I’m placing her in high S tier. She’s not quite in the god-tier SS, but she’s definitely strong. Ability power Wraith, specifically Spirit Wraith, is better than gun build Wraith at the moment. When you throw five cards at people’s faces, they explode, and there’s no counterplay. It’s disgusting behavior, Wraith players—please, stop.
Vicious and Viscus – D Tier Champion
Finally, we’ve got Vicious and Viscus. Unfortunately, they fall into D tier. They just don’t hold up in comparison to the stronger champions.
Vindicta – B Tier for Average Players
Yes, I really put Vindicta down here. The average player is not playing Vindicta well—deal with it. As human skill levels rise in *Deadlock*, Viscus will eventually become the most insane character in the game. But we’re not there yet. Players aren’t able to perfectly hit those wall bounces and perma-stun enemies. You can dash during your ultimate now, though.
Viscus – Secretly Broken Champion
If there were a tier for champions that are secretly insanely broken, Viscus would always belong there. You have so much utility, and if you can hit your abilities, you’ll go crazy. But most people can’t. I want to see some insane pro plays with Viscus—I’ll probably look that up after this. For normal players, though, Viscus is in B tier. Still fun to mess around with if you don’t care about winning.
